Already out on VOD since this past Thursday is the psychological thriller You Should Have Left written and directed by David Koepp and starring Kevin Bacon, Amanda Seyfried, Avery Essex and Geoff Bell. The film’s original music is composed by Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Disturbia,  The Odd Life of Timothy Green). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score on Thursday. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the Australian comedy drama Babyteeth directed by Shannon Murphy and starring Eliza Scanlen, Toby Wallace, Emily Barclay, Eugene Gilfedder, Essie Davis and Ben Mendelsohn. Amanda Jones (Son of a Lion, Look Both Ways) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been released. The movie, which revolves around a family that juggles first love, suburban malaise, and heavy pharmaceuticals, premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival and is being released in the U.S. by IFC Films. Also opening in theaters and on VOD today is the animated feature Stardog and Turbocat written and directed by Ben Smith and starring Luke Evans, Nick Frost, Gemma Arterton, Bill Nighy and Charli D’Amelio. The film’s original music is composed by Heather Fenoughty. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score was released last December when the movie opened in the UK. Already out on VOD since this past Tuesday is the indie comedy drama Mope co-written and directed by Lucas Heyne and starring Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Kelly Sry, Brian Huskey, Max Adler, David Arquette and Tonya Cornelisse. Jonathan Snipes (Starry Eyes, Rebirth, Trespassers, Room 237, The Veil) has composed the film’s original music. Fat Beat Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this year.
