Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the psychological thriller You Should Have Left. The album features the film’s original music composed by Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Disturbia, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, Secret Window). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Thursday, June 18 and will be available to stream/download here. A first track from the album can be checked out after the jump. You Should Have Left is written and directed by David Koepp and stars Kevin Bacon, Amanda Seyfried, Avery Essex and Geoff Bell. The movie follows a couple who, along with their six-year-old daughter, are seeking a restful vacation on an isolated edge of the world only to discover that secrets demand a reckoning…and travel with you.

Geoff Zanelli to Reteam with David Koepp on ‘You Should Have Left’
Geoff Zanelli is set to reteam with David Koepp on the upcoming horror thriller You Should Have Left. The film is written and directed by Koepp (Stir of Echoes, screenwriter of Jurassic Park & Spider-Man) and stars Kevin Bacon. The movie is based on Daniel Kehlmann’s 2007 novel of the same title and follows screenwriter who is working on a sequel to his hit film in a remote house in the Alps and begins to lose his bearings thanks to unexplained occurrences. Jason Blum (Get Out, Insidious, The Purge, Paranormal Activity) is producing the project through his Blumhouse production company.
‘Mortdecai’ Soundtrack Details
Lionsgate Records will release the official soundtrack album for the action comedy Mortdecai. The album features the film’s original music composed by Geoff Zanelli (Disturbia, Hitman, Ghost Town, The Odd Life of Timothy Green) and Mark Ronson, including the original songs Johanna performed by Miles Kane and Heart’s a Liar performed by Rose Elinor Dougall. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 20, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. Mark Ronson and Geoff Zanelli have composed the music for the upcoming action comedy Mortdecai. The film is directed by David Koepp (Premium Rush, Stir of Echoes) and stars Johnny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, Olivia Munn, Jeff Goldblum and Paul Bettany. The movie follows a debonair art dealer and part time rogue who must traverse the globe in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold. Eric Aronson has written the screenplay. Depp is also producing the OddLot Entertainment production with Gigi Pritzker (Drive, Ender’s Game), Andrew Lazar (Get Smart, Space Cowboys), Christi Dembrowski (Dark Shadows, The Rum Diary) and Patrick McCormick (Peter Pan, Jack the Giant Slayer).
David Sardy scoring ‘Premium Rush’
According to the Gorfaine/Schwartz agency, David Sardy is attached to score the upcoming action thriller Premium Rush. The movie centers around a New York City bike messenger who picks up a package at Columbia University and subsequently catches the attention of a dirty cop. The film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jamie Chung and Michael Shannon and is co-written and directed by David Koepp. The writer/director previously worked with James Newton Howard on his first two directorial efforts The Trigger Effect and Stir of Echoes and more recently with Geoff Zanelli on Secret Window (alongside Philip Glass) and Ghost Town. Premium Rush is produced by Gavin Polone who worked with Sardy on 2009’s hit horror comedy Zombieland.
