Saunder Jurriaans and Danny Bensi have been tapped to score the documentary Amanda Knox. The film is directed by Brian McGinn (Ferrell Takes the Field) & Rod Blackhurst (Here Alone) and recounts the infamous trial, conviction and eventual acquittal of Seattle native Amanda Knox for the 2007 murder of a British exchange student in Italy. Mette Heide (Taxi to the Dark Side) and Stephen Morse are producing the project and Adam Del Deo (The Case Against 8) and Ben Cotner & Lisa Nishimura (Making a Murderer, Chef’s Table, Virunga, Winter on Fire) serve as the executive producers.

Saunder Jurriaans & Danny Bensi to Score ‘Barry’
Saunder Jurriaans and Danny Bensi have been tapped to score the upcoming drama Barry. The film is directed by Vikram Gandhi (Kumare) and stars Devon Terrell, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jason Mitchell, Ellar Coltrane, Ashley Judd, Jenna Elfman, Fab Five Freddy and Danny Hoch. The movie explores the time when Barack Obama was a college student in New York City and forged key relationships, including with a fellow student. Novelist Adam Mansbach (Go the F**k to Sleep) has written the screenplay. Teddy Schwarzman (The Imitation Game, All Is Lost) and Ben Stillman are producing the project for Black Bear Pictures, alongside Dana O’Keefe for Cinetic Media and Gandhi.
Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans to Score ‘Rosy’
Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans have been hired to score the upcoming indie thriller Rosy. The film is directed by Jessica Manafort and stars Nat Wolff, Sky Ferreira and Stacy Martin. The movie follows a lonely guy who kidnaps a struggling actress named Rosy who proves more difficult for him to handle than ever expected. Jonathan Schwartz (Like Crazy, Smashed, Breathe In) is producing the project. Rosy is expected to premiere later this year.
‘Wildlike’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age adventure drama Wildlike. The album features the film’s original music composed by Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (The Gift, Enemy, Martha Marcy May Marlene, Last Days in the Desert, The One I Love). Also included are the songs from the movie by Mono and The Wailin’ Jennys. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 24, 2016 and physically a couple of weeks later. Wildlike is written and directed by Frank Hall Green and stars Ella Purnell, Bruce Greenwood, Brian Geraghty, Nolan Gerard Funk, Ann Dowd and Diane Farr. The movie follows a teenage girl who runs away from a new home and befriends an older man preparing for a hike through the Alaskan wilderness.

The film’s original score is composed by Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Free Birds) and produced by Henry Jackman. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Last Days in the Desert. The album features the film’s original music composed by Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (The Gift, Enemy, Martha Marcy May Marlene, The One I Love). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on May 13, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Last Days in the Desert is written and directed by Rodrigo Garcia and stars Ewan McGregor, Tye Sheridan, Ciaran Hinds and Ayelet Zurer. The movie follows a holy man and a demon on a journey through the desert who encounters a family struggling to survive, which forces him to confront his own fate.

Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans have been tapped to score the upcoming supernatural horror thriller The Autopsy of Jane Doe. The film marks the English language debut of director Andre Ovredal (Trollhunters) and stars Emile Hirsch, Brian Cox, Ophelia Lovibond, Parker Sawyers and Yves O’Hara. The movie follows two coroners who receive a mysterious homicide victim with no apparent cause of death and later discover increasingly bizarre clues that hold the key to her terrifying secrets. Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing have written the Black List-honored screenplay.
