Polish pianist, singer and composer Hania Rani is making her international television scoring debut on the upcoming Australian Amazon original series The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart. The show is based on Holly Ringland’s best-selling novel of the same name and stars Sigourney Weaver, Asher Keddie, Leah Purcell, Frankie Adams, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Alyla Browne, Xavier Samuel and Sebastián Zurita. BMG has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Unseen Skies. The album features the film’s original score composed by Helena Czajka (Blind Ambition, Revelation, Safe Home). Unseen Skies is directed by Yaara Bou Melhem and explores Trevor Paglen’s mind-bending art pieces. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Chuck Johnson (Private Violence, A Chef’s Life, Somewhere South). Premiering tonight is the HBO original series The Idol created by Sam Levinson & Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye (who also provided original music to the show, alongside Mike Dean) & Reza Fahim and starring The Weeknd himself, Lily-Rose Depp and Troye Sivan. Manish Raval & Tom Wolfe serve as the drama’s music supervisors. Republic Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the songs by The Weeknd & others later this month. Also premiering in the U.S. today is the British sci-fi series The Lazarus Project created by Joe Barton and starring Paapa Essiedu, Anjli Mohindra, Tom Burke and Caroline Quentin. Ben Lukas Boysen (Beat, The Collini Case) & Paul Emmerich are composing the show’s original music. SATV has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score last year when the drama premiered in the UK on Sky Max and NOW.
