La La-Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 2000 epic drama Gladiator directed by Ridley Scott and starring Russell Crowe, Joaquin Phoenix, Connie Nielsen, Derek Jacobi, Oliver Reed, Djimon Hounsou and Richard Harris. The album features the film’s remastered and expanded Academy Award-nominated original score composed by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Dune, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Inception, Man of Steel, Pirates of the Caribbean) and Lisa Gerrard (Whale Rider, The Insider, Ali, Jane Got a Gun), including previously unreleased music, as well as sketches from Zimmer’s archives and alternate cues. The 3-CD set is limited to 3,500 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release.

‘Gladiator II’ Soundtrack Album Details
Decca Records will release the official soundtrack album for Ridley Scott’s historical action epic Gladiator II. The album features the film’s original music composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, Shrek, Kingdom of Heaven, The Martian, Spy Game, The Last Duel, The Gilded Age). Harry Gregson-Williams to Score Ridley Scott’s ‘Gladiator 2’
Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, Shrek, Chicken Run, Man on Fire, Mulan, The Meg) has been hired to score the upcoming historical drama Gladiator 2. The sequel to the Academy Award-winning 2000 feature (scored by Hans Zimmer & Lisa Gerrard) is directed by Ridley Scott (Alien, Thelma & Louise) and stars Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, Derek Jacobi, Connie Nielsen, Fred Hechinger Joseph Quinn and Pedro Pascal. The movie focuses on Lucius, the nephew of Commodus who – after being saved by Maximus – is now a grown man.
‘Gladiator’ Live to Projection Concert Announced
The 21st Century Symphony Orchestra has announced a concert featuring the world premiere performance of the Academy Award-nominated original score for Ridley Scott’s epic historical drama Gladiator performed live to projection. Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard have composed the score for the Oscar-winning film starring Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix.The music will be performed by over 150 members of the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra and the 21st Century Choir under the baton of Ludwig Wicki. Three concerts will be held on two consecutive days on May 4 & 5, 2013 at the KKL Luzern Concert Hall in Lucerne, Switzerland.
