Christian Henson (The Devil’s Double, Black Death, Tommy’s Honour, Bank of Dave, Triangle, My Brother the Minotaur, Chasing Liberty, Wild Bill) is scoring the new BBC comedy Ann Droid. The show is created by Diane Morgan & Sarah Kendall (Frayed) and stars Morgan herself, alongside Sue Johnston, Paul Ready, Leila Hoffman, Michelle Greenidge, Richard Syms, Margot Leicester, Kendall and Kathryn Hunter. The series revolves around a grieving widow and her outdated care robot who gets things very wrong and causes chaos while also teaching her owner how to love life again. Morgan is also executive producing the Boffola Pictures production with Shane Allen & Pippa Brown (Am I Being Unreasonable?), as well as Seb Barwell & Navi Lamba for the BBC. Ann Droid is premiering in the UK tonight on BBC One and will also be available to stream on the BBCiPlayer.
