Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC nature documentary series Evolution. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Paul Saunderson (Love at First Sight, Trying, Fight or Flight, Three Identical Strangers, Human, Earth, The More You Ignore Me, Picture This,The Grand Duke of Corsica).. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, July 24 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Evolution Suite) has already been released as a digital single last Friday and can also be checked out after the jump. Evolution is hosted by Chris Packham and tells the extraordinary story of how life on Earth has changed over more than four billion years. The 5-parter follows the naturalist as he explores the pivotal evolutionary breakthroughs that shaped every living thing alive today, using cutting‑edge science and immersive visual effects. The series premiered in the UK earlier this week and currently airs every Monday night on BBC Two (and is also available to stream on the BBCiPlayer). The show will make its U.S. debut on October 14 at pbs.org/nova, NOVA on YouTube, and the PBS App.
