‘Spy’ Soundtrack Details

spy-songThe details for the soundtrack album for the action comedy Spy have been revealed. The album features the songs from the film, including the opening titles track Who Can You Trust by Ivy Levan, Mika’s Boum Boum Boum, Inna’s Cola Song feat. J Balvin, Santigold’s GO! feat. Karen O, Serebro’s Mi Mi Mi, Iggy Azalea’s Bounce and 50 Cent’s Twisted feat. Mr. Probz. Also included are two tracks by Verka Serduchka, as well as songs by Gin Wigmore, Heartsrevolution, Nicolay Mondaine feat. Texac, Ida Maria and Bad Seed Rising. The soundtrack will be released physically and digitally on June 2, 2015 by Milan Records and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. ‘Spy’ Score Album Details

spy-scoreMilan Records will release a score album for Paul Feig’s action comedy Spy. The album features the film’s original music composed by Theodore Shapiro (The Devil Wears PradaTropic ThunderThe Secret Life of Walter Mitty), including the original opening titles song Who Can You Trust written by Shapiro & Craig Wedren and performed by Ivy Levan. The soundtrack will be released on June 2, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Spy stars Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham, Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale, Allison Janney, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Miranda Hart and Jude Law. Read the rest of this entry »

vacationMark Mothersbaugh has composed the score for the upcoming reboot of Vacation. The comedy is directed by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley and stars Ed Helms, Christina Applegate, Chris Hemsworth, Charlie Day, Skyler Gisondo and Steele Stebbins. Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo reprise their roles from the classic National Lampoon’s Vacation movies. The movie follows a grown-up Rusty Griswold who surprises his wife and their two sons with a cross-country trip back to America’s “favorite family fun park” Walley World. Goldstein & Daley (screenwriters of Horrible Bosses Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2) wrote the script based on characters by John Hughes. nashville-3Big Machine Records will release a new soundtrack album for the ABC drama Nashville. The album feature songs from the third season of the show performed by cast members including Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Charles Esten, Lennon & Maisy, Will Chase, Aubrey Peeoples, Chris Carmack and Laura Benanti. The Season 3 – Volume 2 soundtrack will be released digitally on May 18, 2015 and a CD version with two exclusive tracks will be available at Target. ‘Bessie’ Soundtrack Announced

bessieLegacy Recordings has announced a soundtrack album for the HBO original movie Bessie. The album features the songs from the film, including seven new Queen Latifah performances, a postmodern reworking of Bessie Smith’s original recording featuring newly recorded vocals, as well as modern performances of blues, jazz and swing classics performed by Tamar-Kali, Cécile McLorin Salvant; and two new instrumental arrangements from Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks. Also included are period recordings from Fats Waller & His Rhythm, Louis Armstrong & His Orchestra, Sippie Wallace and Kid Ory’s Creole Orchestra (“Ballin’ The Jack”). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 12, 2015 and physically on June 2. pandoraJames Horner revealed in an interview with HeyUGuys that he will be composing the music for Pandora: The Land of Avatar at Disney’a Animal Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The theme park attraction is designed by Walt Disney Imagineering in partnership with James Cameron and Lightstorm Entertainment and will feature the wonders of Pandora, giving parkgoers the chance to “fly with banshees and explore a rich natural environment with mountains that float and interactive plants that glow at night.” Horner has composed the score for James Cameron’s 2009 movie and will return to score the sequel, which is scheduled to be released in 2017. daredevilMarvel and ABC Studios have a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Daredevil. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by John Paesano (The Maze Runner, DreamWorks DragonsWhen the Game Stands Tall), including his main title theme. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Daredevil based on the Marvel Comics character stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll, Rosario Dawson and Scott Glenn. kubo-and-the-two-stringsDario Marianelli has been hired to score the upcoming animated feature Kubo and the Two Strings. The film is directed by Laika president and CEO Travis Knight and features the voices of Matthew McConaughey, Charlize Theron, Rooney Mara, Ralph Fiennes, Brenda Vaccaro and Art Parkinson. The movie is set in mythical ancient Japan and centers around Kubo who lives a quiet, normal life in a small shoreside village until a spirit from the past turns his life upside down and he must locate a magical suit of armor once worn by his late father, a legendary Samurai warrior. Marc Haimes and Chris Butler are writing the screenplay and Knight is producing the project with Arianne Sutner (ParaNorman). The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, V for Vendetta, Anna Karenina). Third Person is written and directed by Paul Haggis and stars Liam Neeson, Mila Kunis, Adrien Brody, Olivia Wilde, James Franco, Moran Atias, Maria Bello and Kim Basinger. The movie takes place in New York, Paris and Rome and follows three couples who appear to have nothing related but share deep commonalities: lovers and estranged spouses, children lost and found. the-ghost-and-the-darknessIntrada Records has announced an expanded soundtrack album for the 1996 adventure thriller The Ghost and the Darkness directed by Stephen Hopkins and starring Michael Douglas and Val Kilmer. The album features the complete score from the film composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Patton, Alien, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, L.A. Confidential), including previously unreleased music and alternate cues. The 2-CD set also includes the original 1996 soundtrack album for the Paramount Pictures and Constellation Films production.
