Lotus Production has released a soundtrack album for the Italian comedy drama Like Crazy (La pazza gioia). The album features the film’s original music composed by Carlo Virzi (Human Capital, The First Beautiful Thing, My Name is Tanino). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Like Crazy is directed by Paolo Virzi (Human Capital, Hardboiled Egg) and stars Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Micaela Ramazzotti, Valentina Carnelutti, Tommaso Ragno, Bob Messini, Sergio Albelli, Anna Galiena, Maria Borini and Marco Messeri. The movie follows two patients with psychiatric issues who meet at a community hospital and flee the hospital to embark on a road trip from Tuscany to Rome.

Weekly Film Music Roundup (October 28, 2011)
Three movies are opening in wide release this weekend:
Opening in most theaters this week is Dreamworks Animation’s Puss in Boots directed by Chris Miller and featuring the voice talent of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis and Billy Bob Thornton. The film’s music is composed by Henry Jackman. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring Jackman’s music, as well as two tracks by Rodrigo y Gabriela this past Tuesday. Also opening wide is the sci-fi thriller In Time directed by Andrew Niccol and starring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Olivia Wilde, Cillian Murphy and Alex Pettyfer. The film’s score is composed by Craig Armstrong. A soundtrack album featuring Armstrong’s music has been released digitally earlier this week by Lakeshore Records. Soundtrack Albums for ‘Like Crazy’ Announced
Relativity Music Group will be releasing two soundtrack albums for the indie drama Like Crazy. The first soundtrack includes selections of the original score from the film by Dustin O’Halloran, as well as several songs by indie rock artists Paul Simon, The Mary Onettes, Figurine, Fool’s Gold, M83 and Stars. The score album features O’Halloran’s music including material not included on the other soundtrack. Both albums will be released on October 25, 2011. The song/score compilation is available to pre-order on Amazon and the score album can be pre-ordered here. Like Crazy is directed by Drake Doremus and stars Anton Yelchin, Felicity Jones and Jennifer Lawrence. The movie premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize for Dramatic Film.
