‘Tracers’ Soundtrack Released

tracersVarese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album for the action thriller Tracers. The album features the film’s original music composed by Lucas Vidal (Fast & Furious 6, The Raven, The Quiet Ones, The Cold Light of Day). Also included are tracks by La Font, Junkie XL and Kilon Tek. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Tracers is directed by Daniel Benmayor and stars Taylor Lautner, Marie Avgeropoulos, Adam Rayner and Rafi Gavron. justice-league-gods-and-monstersFrederik Wiedmann is composing the music for the upcoming DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation film Justice League: Gods and Monsters. The film is directed by Sam Liu and features the voice talent of Benjamin Bratt, Michael C. Hall, Paget Brewster, Jason Isaacs, C. Thomas Howell and Tamara Taylor. The movie is set in an alternative universe, where Zod is Superman’s father, Batman is a vampiric Man-Bat, and Wonder Woman is the child of Ares, God of War. sean-calleryThe CSUN Department of Music and the CSUN Studio Ensemble announced that this year’s Annual Media Composition Studio Ensemble Showcase will feature television and film composer Sean Callery. The Emmy Award-winning composer of such shows as 24, HomelandBonesBackstrom and Elementary recently won the Composer’s Choice Award for 2014 Composer of the Year at the ASCAP Film & Television Music Awards. The showcase will feature CSUN student orchestra musicians performing alongside L.A. studio professionals. The concert will include the premiere performance of Callery’s music for the 200th episode of Bones, which he co-composed with Jamie Forsyth and Julia Newmann. For the episode set in the 1950s, the composer used a live orchestra to help capture the mood of the story’s unique film noir style.  Read the rest of this entry »

‘Dark Places’ Soundtrack Released

The album features the film’s original music composed by Gregory Tripi and BT (The Fast and the FuriousMonster, Go). Also included are tracks by Belong, Jag Panzer, The Georgia Satellites and David Kristian. The soundtrack is now available digitally overseas. ‘Man Up’ Soundtrack Announced

man-upFiction Records will release a soundtrack album for the romantic comedy Man Up. The album features the songs from the film by artists including Elbow, The B-52’s, The Nationals, Duran Duran, Whitesnake, Aaron Neville & more. Also included are selections from the movie’s original score composed by Dickon Hinchliffe (Winter’s Bone, Out of the Furnace, Last Chance Harvey) The soundtrack will be released on May 26, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version is also available as an import on here. Man Up is directed by Ben Palmer and stars Lake Bell, Simon Pegg, Rory Kinnear and Olivia Williams. ‘Animals’ Soundtrack Details

animalsLakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the indie drama Animals. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ian Hultquist (Ivory Tower). Also included are songs by Pyramids, Wedding Dress, Barky and Speaker, Gay Panic, Moon Magick & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 12, 2015. Audio clips are embedded below. Animals is directed by Collin Schiffli and stars David Dastmalchian, Kim Shaw, John Heard and John Hooganakker. The album features the songs from the film performed by cast members including Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell as Brady and McKenzie, Garrett Clayton, Grace Phipps, Chrissie Fit, Jordan Fisher, William Loftis, Kent Boyd, John DeLuca, Mollee Gray, Jessica Keller, Mason Cutler and Raymond Cham Jr. The soundtrack will be released on June 23, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. baftaAbel Korzeniowski was honored with his first BAFTA TV Craft Award for his music for Showtime’s Penny Dreadful at the the British Academy Television Craft Awards today at The Brewery, City of London. Producer Pippa Harris accepted the award on the composer’s behalf. A soundtrack album featuring selections of Korzeniowski’s score for the first season of the series is available on Varese Sarabande. The show also won awards for Production Design and Make Up & Hair Design. The other composers nominated in the Original Music category were John Lunn for Downton Abbey, Martin Phipps for The Honorable Woman and Richard Spiller for Life and Death Row – Execution. The show is created by Michael McGowan (Still Mine, One Week) and stars Jenette McCurdy, Jesse Carere, Jack Murray, Justin Kelly, Krystal Nausbaum, Brooke Palsson, Jim Watson, Wesley Morgan, Michael Reventar, Kyle Mac, Ryan Allen and Michael Boisvert. The sci-fi thriller takes place in a town is under siege from a mysterious disease that has killed everybody — except for those 21 years old and younger.
