Paul Haslinger has recently composed the original score for the upcoming Mötley Crüe biopic The Dirt. The film is directed by Jeff Tremaine (Jackass: The Movie, Bad Grandpa) and stars Douglas Booth, Machine Gun Kelly, Daniel Webber, Iwan Rheon, Tony Cavalero, Rebekah Graf, Leven Rambin and David Costabile. The movie is based on Neil Strauss’ book The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band and follows the band’s rise to international stardom in the 1980s.

Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the superhero movie Venom directed by Ruben Fleischer and starring Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze and Reid Scott. The film’s original music is composed by Ludwig Goransson (Black Panther, Creed, Fruitvale Station, Community). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also opening nationwide is the musical drama A Star Is Born directed by Bradley Cooper who also stars in the movie, alongside Lady Gaga, Andrew Dice Clay, Anthony Ramos, Bonnie Somerville, Dave Chappelle and Sam Elliott. Cooper & Gaga have also written several original songs to the film. Interscope Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie. Paul Haslinger Scoring Richard Shepard’s ‘The Perfection’
Paul Haslinger is composing the music for the upcoming horror thriller The Perfection. The film is directed by Richard Shepard and stars Allison Williams, Logan Browning, Steven Weber and Alaina Huffman. The movie follows a former cellist who meets a rising star with the career she’s always wanted and her jealousy drives her to take revenge on the prodigy. Shepard also co-wrote the screenplay with Eric Charmelo & Nicole Snyder (Midnight, Texas, Ringer). He is also producing the Miramax production with Bill Block (Bad Moms, Fury, Elysium) and Stacey Reiss (The Eagle Huntress).

Opening in most theaters is the action adventure Rampage directed by Brad Peyton and starring Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, P.J. Byrne and Marley Shelton. The film’s original music is composed by Andrew Lockington (San Andreas, Journey to the Center of the Earth). ‘Wildling’ Soundtrack Details
Filmtrax will release a soundtrack album for the horror fantasy thriller Wildling. The album features the film’s original music composed by Paul Haslinger (Underworld, Halt and Catch Fire, Crank, Death Race, Fear the Walking Dead). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 13, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Wildling is co-written and directed by Fritz Bohm and stars Bel Powley, Brad Dourif, Liv Tyler, Collin Kelly-Sordelet, James Le Gros, Troy Ruptash, Arlo Mertz and Aviva Winick. The movie revolves around a blossoming teenager who uncovers the dark secret behind her traumatic childhood.
Paul Haslinger Scoring Jeremy Ungar’s ‘Ride’
Paul Haslinger has been tapped to score the upcoming thriller Ride. The film is written and directed by Jeremy Ungar and stars Bella Thorne, Will Brill and Jessie T Usher. The movie takes place over the course of one night in Los Angeles and follows a young woman as she hails a ride on an app unaware that she will be joined by a sociopath. Keith Kjarval (A Single Shot) and Tyler Jackson & Sefton Fincham (What They Had) are producing the Unified Pictures production.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British series The Collection created Oliver Goldstick and starring Richard Coyle, Tom Riley, Frances de la Tour, Mamie Gummer, Max Deacon, Irène Jacob, Michael Kitchen and James Cosmo. The show’s original music is composed by Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, Ripper Street, Primeval). The drama premiered last year in the UK on Amazon and is making its domestic debut tonight on PBS. Paul Haslinger is composing the music for the new CBS drama Wisdom of the Crowd. The show is created by Ted Humphrey (The Good Wife) and stars Jeremy Piven, Richard T. Jones, Natalia Tena, Monica Potter and Blake Lee. The series follows a visionary tech innovator who creates a cutting-edge crowdsourcing app to solve his daughter’s murder, and revolutionize crime solving in the process. Humphrey is also executive producing the CBS Television Studios & Universal Television production with Adam Davidson, Avi Nir (Tyrant), Alon Shtruzman, Peter Traugott (Samantha Who?), Rachel Kaplan, Dror Mishani and Shira Hadad.
