Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British series The Collection created Oliver Goldstick and starring Richard Coyle, Tom Riley, Frances de la Tour, Mamie Gummer, Max Deacon, Irène Jacob, Michael Kitchen and James Cosmo. The show’s original music is composed by Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, Ripper Street, Primeval). The drama premiered last year in the UK on Amazon and is making its domestic debut tonight on PBS. Premiering on Wednesday, October 11, is the new CW drama Dynasty created by Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage & Sallie Patrick based on the classic 80s show of the same title and starring Nathalie Kelley, Elizabeth Gillies, Alan Dale, Sam Adegoke, Rob Riley and Grant Show. Paul-Leonard Morgan (Limitless, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D, Dredd, The Numbers Station) is composing the show’s original music. Dominik Scherrer to Score Amazon’s ‘The Collection’

Dominik Scherrer has been tapped to score the Amazon original series The Collection. The show is created Oliver Goldstick (Pretty Little Liars) and stars Richard Coyle, Tom Riley, Frances de la Tour, Mamie Gummer, Max Deacon, Irène Jacob, Michael Kitchen and James Cosmo. The drama is set after World War II and centers around an illustrious Paris fashion house, emerging from the dark days of the Occupation, now ushering in a new golden age of design and business. Goldstick is also executive producing the Lookout Point and Artis Pictures production with Anne Thomopoulos (Rome, Camelot), Kate Croft, Pascal Breton, Simon Vaughan (War And Peace, Parade’s End), Médéric Albouy and Toma de Matteis.

Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the thriller Killing Them Softly directed by Andrew Dominik and starring Brad Pitt, Richard Jenkins, James Gandolfini, Ray Liotta, Scott McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, Vincent Curatola, Max Casella and Sam Shepard. While the film doesn’t feature a full score, Marc Streitenfeld (Prometheus, American Gangster) is credited as providing piano pieces and musical ambiances. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring one track by Streitenfeld, as well as the film’s songs by artists including Carl Stone, The Velvet Underground, James Wilsey, Nico, Kitty Lester and The Wreckery. Also opening wide is the horror thriller The Collection directed by Marcus Dunstan and starring Josh Stewart, Lee Tergesen, Christopher McDonald and Emma Fitzpatrick. Charlie Clouser (Saw series, Numbers) has composed the film’s original score. No soundtrack album has been released. The movie is a sequel to the 2009 horror film The Collector and is being distributed by LD Entertainment. Charlie Clouser to Score ‘The Collection’

Charlie Clouser is scoring the upcoming horror thriller The Collection. The movie is the sequel to the 2009 horror film The Collector and is directed by Marcus Dunstan (who also wrote the screenplay for the Clouser-scored Saw IV, V, VI and The Final Chapter). The film stars Josh Stewart, Lee Tergesen, Christopher McDonald and Emma Fitzpatrick. Dunstan has co-written the script with Patrick Melton, his writing partner on the Saw series. Brett Forbes & Patrick Rizzotti (Pride) and Julie Richardson (Collateral) are producing the film. The project marks Clouser’s first feature assignment since the final installment of the Saw series. Mickey Liddell’s LD Distribution company is planning a theatrical release later this year.
