Filmtrax/Atlantic Screen Music has released a soundtrack album for the crime drama Ride. The album features the film’s original score composed by Australian musician Those Who Ride With Giants (aka MJ Callaghan). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also check out the title track after the jump. Ride is co-written and directed by Jake Allyn and C. Thomas Howell, Annabeth Gish, Allyn himself, Patrick Murney, Laci Kaye Booth, Josh Plasse, Scott Reeves, Zia Carlock and Forrie J. Smith. The movie follows a retired bull rider desperate to fund his daughter’s cancer treatment who teams up with his estranged son and resorts to robbery.

Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the superhero movie Venom directed by Ruben Fleischer and starring Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze and Reid Scott. The film’s original music is composed by Ludwig Goransson (Black Panther, Creed, Fruitvale Station, Community). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also opening nationwide is the musical drama A Star Is Born directed by Bradley Cooper who also stars in the movie, alongside Lady Gaga, Andrew Dice Clay, Anthony Ramos, Bonnie Somerville, Dave Chappelle and Sam Elliott. Cooper & Gaga have also written several original songs to the film. Interscope Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie. Music of the Sea has released a soundtrack album for the thriller Ride. The album features the songs from the movie by artists such as Archie Thompson, Psychedelic Soul Crew, Ages of the Earth, Tiny Barge, Paul Montesano, Supa Nova Kaine and Mansuki. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Ride is written and directed by Jeremy Ungar and stars Jessie T. Usher, Bella Thorne and Will Brill. The movie scored by Paul Haslinger takes place over the course of one night in Los Angeles and follows a young woman as she hails a ride on an app unaware that she will be joined by a sociopath.

Paul Haslinger has been tapped to score the upcoming thriller Ride. The film is written and directed by Jeremy Ungar and stars Bella Thorne, Will Brill and Jessie T Usher. The movie takes place over the course of one night in Los Angeles and follows a young woman as she hails a ride on an app unaware that she will be joined by a sociopath. Keith Kjarval (A Single Shot) and Tyler Jackson & Sefton Fincham (What They Had) are producing the Unified Pictures production.
Jamie Christopherson to Score Alex Ranarivelo’s ‘Ride’
Jamie Christopherson is reuniting with director Alex Ranarivelo on the upcoming action drama Ride. The film starring Shane Graham, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Sasha Alexander, Ali Afshar, Bryan Craig, George Kosturos and Jessica Michelle is based on the inspiring true story of BMX champion John Buultjens, a young teen who is rescued when he is fostered by an unlikely interracial couple, including the foster father who wins the kid over when he buys him his first bicycle. Ranarivelo also co-wrote the screenplay with Hadeel Reda, Jean-Marie Sobeck and Jack Reher (Into the Grizzly Maze).

The only wide release this weekend is Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Age of Ultron written and directed by Joss Whedon and starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johannson, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany and Cobie Smulders. The film’s original music is composed by Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Furious 7) and Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman). Julian Wass to Score Helen Hunt’s ‘Ride’
Julian Wass has been hired to score the upcoming indie romantic comedy Ride. The film marks the second directorial effort of actress Helen Hunt who also stars in the movie alongside Luke Wilson, Brenton Thwaites, David Zayas, Robert Knepper, Mike White, Richard Kind, Leonor Varela and Elizabeth Jayne. The comedy follows a strong-willed mother who follows her 20-year-old son to Los Angeles after he quits college at NYU to become a surfer. Hunt has also written the screenplay and is producing the project with Lizzie Friedman (And Soon the Darkness), Gregg Little (Sex and Death 101) and Moon Blauner. Hunt’s directorial debut Then She Found Me featured a score by David Mansfield.
