Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the survival thriller Beast directed by Baltasar Kormákur and starring Idris Elba, Sharlto Copley, Leah Sava Jeffries and Iyana Halley. The film’s original music is composed by Steven Price (Gravity, Our Planet, Last Night in Soho, Baby Driver, Suicide Squad, Fury). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score and an original song by Sona Jobarteh last Friday. Also opening wide is the anime feature Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero directed by Tetsuro Kodama and produced by Toei Animation. Naoki Sato (Space Battleship Yamato, Pretty Cure, Blood-Z, Sword of the Stranger) has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score was released earlier this year when the movie opened in Japan. ‘The Royal’ Soundtrack Album Released

Fallout Shelter Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the biographical drama The Royal. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley, The Kominsky Method, Heels, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Just Friends, CSI: Miami). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Royal is directed by Marcel Sarmiento and stars Amin Joseph, Olivia Taylor Cruz, Andrea Navedo, Olivia Holguín, Nic Bishop and Elisabeth Rohm. The movie tells the story of baseball legend Willie Mays Aikens who survived a historically unjust incarceration.

The adventure drama, which follows Phileas Fogg as he sets out on a quest to travel around the world, premiered in the UK last week on BBC One and is making its U.S. debut on PBS as part of the Masterpiece series.
