Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the mystery drama Where the Crawdads Sing directed by Olivia Newman and starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Taylor John Smith, Harris Dickinson and David Strathairn. The film’s original music is composed by Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Capote, Moneyball, Little Miss Sunshine, The Good Dinosaur, Onward). Mercury Classics has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song Carolina written and performed by Taylor Swift today. Also opening wide is the animated comedy Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank directed by Rob Minkoff, Mark Koetsier & Chris Bailey and starring Michael Cera, Ricky Gervais, George Takei, Mel Brooks, Michelle Yeoh and Samuel L. Jackson. Bear McCreary (10 Cloverfield Lane, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Outlander, The Walking Dead) has composed the film’s original score. Sparks and Shadows has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as two songs written by Alan Zachary & Michael Weiner. ‘Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris’ Soundtrack Album Details

Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the period comedy drama Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rael Jones (Harlots, Suite Francaise, My Cousin Rachel, Ten Percent, The Salisbury Poisonings, Kids in Love). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 15 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris is co-written and directed by Anthony Fabian and stars Lesley Manville, Isabelle Huppert, Jason Isaacs, Lambert Wilson, Anna Chancellor, Alba Baptista, Lucas Bravo and Rose Williams. The movie tells the story of a seemingly ordinary British housekeeper whose dream to own a couture Christian Dior gown takes her on an extraordinary adventure to Paris.

Rael Jones to Score Anthony Fabian’s ‘Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris’

Rael Jones (Harlots, My Cousin Rachel, Kids in Love, The Salisbury Poisonings) has been hired to score the upcoming British drama Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. The film is directed by Anthony Fabian (Louder Than Words, Skin) and stars Lesley Manville, Isabelle Huppert, Jason Isaacs, Lambert Wilson, Lucas Bravo and Alba Baptista. The movie is based on Paul Gallico’s novella and tells the story of a widowed cleaning lady in 1950s London who falls madly in love with a couture Dior dress, and embarks on an adventure to Paris to get one of her own. Fabian also co-wrote the screenplay with Carroll Cartwright (What Maisie Knew) and Keith Thompson (The Sapphires, Introducing the Dwights), with additional writing by Olivia Hetreed (Girl with a Pearl Earring).
