Nicholas Britell (Moonlight, If Beale Street Could Talk, Succession, The Big Short, Vice) has recently been scoring Disney’s upcoming family comedy drama Cruella. The film is directed by Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya, Lars and the Real Girl, Million Dollar Arm) and stars Emma Stone, Emma Thompson, Joel Fry, Paul Walter Hauser and Mark Strong. The movie based on the character from Disney’s 101 Dalmations is set in 1970s London and centers on young fashion designer Cruella de Vil as she becomes obsessed with dogs’ skins, especially Dalmatians, until she eventually becomes a ruthless and terrifying legend.

First Track from ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ Soundtrack Released
Hollywood Records and Marvel Music have released the first track from the soundtrack for Marvel Studios’ Disney+ original series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Available to stream/download now as a digital single is the end credits track Louisiana Hero written by the show’s composer Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Solider & Civil War, Wreck-It-Ralph, X-Men: First Class, Big Hero 6, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle). A full soundtrack album featuring Jackman’s score from the first three episodes will be released on April 9 and a second album featuring the composer’s music from the final three episodes will be coming out on April 30. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is directed by Kari Skogland and stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Daniel Brühl, Emily VanCamp and Wyatt Russell.

The show’s original score is composed by Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman, Inside Man, Da 5 Bloods, Malcolm X). Raphael Saadiq (Lovecraft County, Insecure) serves as the project’s executive music producer and Hans Zimmer & Lorne Balfe have provided a new version of their Emmy Award-nominated main titles theme. Premiering on Wednesday, March 24 is the HBO Sports documentary The Day Sports Stood Still directed by Antoine Fuqua and produced by Brian Grazer & Justin Wilkes about the unprecedented sports shutdown in March of 2020 and the remarkable turn of events that followed. Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, Enough Said, The Affair, Ray Donovan, The Good Shepherd, The Loudest Voice) has composed the film’s original music. John Debney Scoring Disney+’s ‘The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers’
John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Iron Man 2, The Jungle Book, Elf, Hocus Pocus, The Emperor’s New Groove) is scoring the new Disney+ original series The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. The show is based on the 1992 The Mighty Ducks feature film (scored by David Newman) and stars Lauren Graham, Emilio Estevez, Brady Noon, Maxwell Simkins, Swayam Bhatia, Luke Islam, Kiefer O’Reilly, Taegen Burns, Bella Higginbotham and DJ Watts. The drama is set in present day Minnesota and follows a 12-year old boy who failed to make the cut to join the Mighty Ducks junior hockey team and is encouraged by his mother to form a new team of underdogs with help from Gordon Bombay, the Ducks’ original coach.
Neil Davidge Scoring National Geographic’s ‘Earth Moods’
Neil Davidge (Unleashed, Push, Halo 4, Monsters: Dark Continent, Britannia, Hard Sun, Good People) has composed the original music for National Geographic’s upcoming short-form visual series Earth Moods. The show is produced and edited by Ryan Fouss and takes viewers on the ultimate retreat – transporting them to a vast array of colorful and calming corners of the world. Over five episodes, viewers travel to blue glaciers, arid deserts, lush rainforests and pulsating metropolises to escape from the cacophony of everyday life.
