WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the HBO Max animated special The Runaway Bunny. The album features the special’s original score composed by Keith Kenniff (aka Helios) (Blood Road, The Last Survivor). Also included are the songs from the projects, including the never-before released original Margaret Wise Brown lullaby Song of the Runaway Bunny performed by Tracee Ellis Ross, a new version of Bob Dylan’s Make You Feel My Love by Kelly Rowland, a new reinterpretation of Always Be My Baby by Mariah Carey, as well other songs performed by Ziggy Marley, Kimya Dawson and Rufus Wainwright. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 11 and will be available to stream/download here. The Runaway Bunny based on the children’s book by Margaret Wise Brown is produced & directed by Amy Schatz and follows a restless little bunny who dreams of leaving home.

Premiering today is the the National Geographic event series Genius: Aretha created by Suzan-Lori Parks and starring Cynthia Erivo, Courtney B. Vance, Malcolm Barrett, Pauletta Washington, David Cross, Patrice Covington, Rebecca Naomi Jones and Steven Norfleet. The show’s original score is composed by Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman, Inside Man, Da 5 Bloods, Malcolm X). Raphael Saadiq (Lovecraft County, Insecure) serves as the project’s executive music producer and Hans Zimmer & Lorne Balfe have provided a new version of their Emmy Award-nominated main titles theme. Premiering on Wednesday, March 24 is the HBO Sports documentary The Day Sports Stood Still directed by Antoine Fuqua and produced by Brian Grazer & Justin Wilkes about the unprecedented sports shutdown in March of 2020 and the remarkable turn of events that followed. Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, Enough Said, The Affair, Ray Donovan, The Good Shepherd, The Loudest Voice) has composed the film’s original music. HBO Max announced today the animated special The Runaway Bunny based on the children’s book by Margaret Wise Brown. The project is produced and directed by Amy Schatz (Song of Parkland) and will feature a performance of the never-before-released original Margaret Wise Brown lullaby Song of the Runaway Bunny by Tracee Ellis Ross (who is also narrating the special), a new reinterpretation of Always Be My Baby by Mariah Carey, a new version of Bob Dylan’s Make You Feel My Love by Kelly Rowland, as well other songs performed by Rosanne Cash, Ziggy Marley, Kimya Dawson, Rufus Wainwright and Michael Kiwanuka. Keith Kenniff (aka Helios) (Blood Road, The Last Survivor) has composed the original score for the project.
