Premiering tonight is the HBO limited series The Regime created by Will Tracy, directed by Stephen Frears & Jessica Hobbs and starring Kate Winslet, Matthias Schoenaerts, Andrea Riseborough, Martha Plimpton, Guillaume Gallienne and Hugh Grant. The show’s original music is composed by Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Shape of Water, The King’s Speech, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) & Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Queen of Katwe, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Touching the Void). WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score in the coming weeks. Premiering tomorrow, March 4, is the National Geographic original documentary series Queens narrated by Angela Bassett and produced by Wildstar Films. Morgan Kibby (The Watcher, The Power, Mothering Sunday, Girls of the Sun, Wilderness, Grand Army, Tales of the Walking Dead) has composed the show’s original music. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score and the main title song Umi,by Alewya this past Friday. Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The King’s Speech, The Shape of Water, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Godzilla) & Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Touching the Void, Queen of Katwe, State of Play) have composed the original music for the new HBO limited series The Regime. The show is created by Will Tracy (Succession, The Menu) and stars Kate Winslet, Matthias Schoenaerts, Andrea Riseborough, Guillaume Gallienne, Martha Plimpton and Hugh Grant. The 6-part political satire directed by Stephen Frears (Dangerous Liaisons, High Fidelity) & Jessica Hobbs (The Split) follows an authoritarian chancellor who has grown increasingly paranoid and unstable when she turns to a volatile soldier as an unlikely confidant.

Already playing in theaters nationwide since this past Monday is the musical drama The Color Purple directed by Blitz Bazawule and starring Taraji P. Henson, Fantasia, Danielle Brooks, Colman Domingo, H.E.R., Corey Hawkins, Halle Bailey, Ciara, Aunjanue Ellis, Phylicia Pearl Mpasi and Louis Gossett Jr. The film’s original score is composed by Kris Bowers (King Richard, Bridgerton, Secret Invasion, Green Book, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Haunted Mansion, When They See Us). WaterTower Music & gamma. have released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie (in two different versions) earlier this month and WaterTower has released a separate album featuring Bowers’ score on Monday. Also opening in theaters nationwide this holiday week is the biographical drama Ferrari directed by Michael Mann and starring Adam Driver, Penélope Cruz, Shailene Woodley, Sarah Gordon, Patrick Dempsey, Gabriel Leone and Jack O’Connell. Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, Steve Jobs, Enola Holmes, Birds of Prey Ocean’s 8, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Monday. ‘The Boys in the Boat’ Soundtrack Album Details

Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the sports drama The Boys in the Boat. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Shape of Water, Argo, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Queen, The King’s Speech). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, December 15 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The composer’s title track is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. The Boys in the Boat is directed by George Clooney and stars Joel Edgerton, Callum Turner, Hadley Robinson, Jack Mulhern, Sam Strike, Luke Slattery, Thomas Elms and Chris Diamantopoulos. The movie is based on the bestselling non-fiction novel of the same title by Daniel James Brown and tells the true story of the 1936 University of Washington rowing team that competed for gold at the Summer Olympics in Berlin.

‘Nyad’ Soundtrack Album Details

The full details of the soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Nyad have been revealed. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Shape of Water, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Queen, The King’s Speech, Philomena). Also included is the original song Find a Way written by Linda Perry and performed by Jade Bird (also released as a digital single yesterday). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 3 by Netflix Music. The full details of the soundtrack album for Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Queen, The Shape of Water, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow). Also included are the songs from the movie, including the original tracks You Can’t Wake Up If You Don’t Fall Asleep co-written (with Richard Hawley) and performed by Jarvis Cocker and Dear Alien (Who Art In Heaven) written by Cocker, Hawley & Anderson and performed by the movie’s cast (listen to the full track below), as well as songs by Slim Whitman, Bing Crosby, Burl Ives, Tex Ritter, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Johnny Duncan, Eddy Arnold & others. Randall Poster serves as the project’s music supervisor. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, June 23 by ABKCO Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
