Paramount Music will release a soundtrack album for the Roku original series The Spiderwick Chronicles. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Aska Matsumiya (After Yang, Bruised, Betty, Skate Kitchen, I’m Your Woman, Phoenix Rising, Selah and the Spades). Aska Matsumiya (Bruised, After Yang, Betty, Skate Kitchen, Phoenix Rising, I’m Your Woman, Selah and the Spades) has recently scored the upcoming Roku Channel original series The Spiderwick Chronicles. The show is based on the bestselling novels by Tony DiTerlizzi & Holly Black (which have previously been adapted into a feature film scored by James Horner) and stars Joy Bryant, Christian Slater, Noah Cottrell, Mychala Lee, Lyon Daniels and Jack Dylan Grazer. The fantasy adventure follows the coming-of-age story of the Grace Family as they move from New York to Michigan and into their family’s ancestral home, where they uncover mysteries hidden inside their great grandfather’s estate and discover a secret, fantastical world around them.
‘Weird: The Al Yankovic Story’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Legacy Recordings has announced a soundtrack album for the Roku Channel original movie Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. The album features a selection of “Weird Al’s” greatest hits, some of which were newly recorded for the film, as well as a new original song (Now You Know) written and performed by Yankovic. Also included is the movie’s original score composed by Leo Birenberg & Zach Robinson (Cobra Kai, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, Impractical Jokers: The Movie) and performed by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra. Leo Birenberg & Zach Robinson (Cobra Kai, Impractical Jokers: The Movie, Die Hart, F*&% the Prom) have been tapped to score the upcoming Roku Channel original movie Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. The film is directed by Eric Appel (Son of Zorn) and stars Daniel Radcliffe as “Weird Al” Yankovic, Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna, Rainn Wilson as radio broadcaster Dr. Demento, as well as Julianne Nicholson & Toby Huss as Yankovic’s parents, Mary and Nick. The biopic chronicles Yankovic’s life and career, from gifted child prodigy to the greatest musical legend of all time.

Comedy Central Records has released the theme from the Reno 911! revival. The track is written by the show’s composer Craig Wedren (Role Models, School of Rock, Yellowjackets,Wet Hot American Summer, GLOW, How to Be a Latin Lover) and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and all other major digital music services.
