Kenneth Branagh announced today that Hildur Guđnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl, Women Talking, Tar, Sicario: Day of the Soldado) will compose the original score for the upcoming supernatural mystery thriller A Haunting in Venice. The follow-up to Murder on the Orient Express & Death on the Nile (scored by Patrick Doyle) is directed by Branagh and stars the filmmaker himself, Kyle Allen, Michelle Yeoh, Camille Cottin, Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Kelly Reilly, Emma Laird and Riccardo Scamarcio. The movie is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve and follows Hercule Poirot as he reluctantly attends a séance, when one of the guests is murdered. Abel Korzeniowski’s ‘Battle for Terra’ Score to Be Released

Mockup Records will release the first commercial soundtrack album for the 2007 animated feature Battle for Terra directed by Aristomenis Tsirbas and starring Evan Rachel Wood, Brian Cox, Chris Evans, James Garner, Danny Glover, David Cross, Amanda Peet, Justin Long, Dennis Quaid and Luke Wilson. The album features the film’s original music composed by Abel Korzeniowski (A Single Man, Nocturnal Animals, Till, The Nun,W.E., Emily, The Courier, Romeo and Juliet). Walt Disney Records has released the first song from the soundtrack for the live-action film adaptation of the animated classic The Little Mermaid. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is the new version of Part of Your World written by Alan Menken (music) & Howard Ashman (lyrics) performed by lead actress Halle Bailey. Disney announced today that Dave Metzger (Brother Bear 2, Tarzan & Jane, Tarzan 2: The Legend Begins) is scoring the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming feature Wish. It was also announced that Grammy Award-winning producer/songwriter/musician Benjamin Rice has joined Julia Michaels to write the original songs for the movie directed by Chris Buck & Fawn Veerasunthorn and starring Ariana DeBose, Chris Pine and Alan Tudyk. Sam: A Saxon is created by Chris Silber, Jörg Winger & Tyron Ricketts and stars Malick Bauer, Svenja Jung, Luise von Finckh, Martin Brambach, Thorsten Merten, Carina Wiese and Ricketts himself. Hollywood Records has announced two soundtrack albums for National Geographic’s limited series A Small Light. To be released on May 19, 2023 is a first album featuring the show’s original score composed by Ariel Marx (Candy, Shiva Baby, A Friend of the Family, Sanctuary).
