Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Kpop Demon Hunters, May December, Wonder, The Good Shepherd, The Affair, Nonnas, Emancipation, Ray Donovan) has recently scored the upcoming biographical drama Madden. The film is directed by David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook, The Fighter) and stars Nicolas Cage, Christian Bale, Kathryn Hahn, John Mulaney, Sienna Miller and Shane Gillis. The movie chronicles John Madden’s journey alongside best friend and true original Al Davis, from a Super Bowl-winning partnership with the Raiders, to becoming football’s most recognizable voice, to building the worldwide Madden NFL video game. O. Russell also co-wrote the screenplay with Cambron Clark. He is also producing the project with Todd Black & Jason Blumenthal (The Equalizer, The Pursuit of Happyness), Steve Tisch (Forrest Gump, Risky Business), Jonathan Shukat, Matthew Budman (Detroit, Amsterdam) and Colin Wilson (The Mandalorian, The Lost World: Jurassic Park). Madden will be released in select theaters on November 18 and will also be available to stream on Prime Video on the same day.
Zarvos’ other upcoming feature projects include Marissa Chibás’ feature 1972. He also continues to score Netflix’s The Diplomat, which just returned for its fourth season last month and has already been renewed for a fifth season, as well as Starz’s S.W.A.T. Exiles, which has been renewed for a second season.
