WaterTower Music has released a new soundtrack album for the HBO original series Perry Mason. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by Academy Award nominee Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman, 25th Hour, Inside Man, Da 5 Bloods, Malcolm X, Red Tails). Also included is the song Are You Making Any Money? performed by Mollie Weaver. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released Blanchard’s music from Season 1 back in 2020. Rusted Wave and 1984 Publishing have announced the world premiere score release for the 1987 comedy Summer School directed by Carl Reiner and starring Mark Harmon, Kirstie Alley, Robin Thomas, Courtney Thorne-Smith and Dean Cameron. The album features the original score from the Paramount Pictures production composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, Alice in Wonderland, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness). The soundtrack is now available to order as a limited edition CD and vinyl (in different color variants) on the labels’ websites (CD version and vinyl edition). MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the British drama The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry. The album features the film’s original score composed by Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, Layer Cake, The Young Victoria, Still Alice, Kick-Ass, A Perfect Planet). Also included are two original songs co-written (with James Keay) and performed by Sam Lee. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 28 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. BBC announced today that Murray Gold (Torchwood, Gentleman Jack, It’s a Sin, Quiz, A Very English Scandal) is returning to score the BBC series Doctor Who. The composer who previously scored all episodes between 2005 and 2017 will be collaborating with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales to compose the music for three special episodes celebrating the shows 60th anniversary with David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor (to premiere this November), before Ncuti Gatwa takes control of the TARDIS as the Fifteenth Doctor with his first episode airing over the 2023/2024 holiday season.
