Premiering on Tuesday, August 19, is the Netflix original documentary series America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys directed and executive produced by Chapman & Maclain Way about the controversies that defined the Dallas Cowboys and led them to three Super Bowl championships. The show’s original music is composed by Brocker Way (Wild Wild Country, The Kings of Tupelo, The Battered Bastards of Baseball. Death and Other Details, Untold). Premiering on Wednesday, August 20, is the romantic drama The Map That Leads to You directed by Lasse Hallström and starring Madelyn Cline, KJ Apa, Josh Lucas, Madison Thompson and Sofia Wylie. Sarah Trevino (The Big Conn, The Herricanes) has composed the film’s original music. The movie, which is based on JP Monninger’s novel of the same name and follows a young woman who is setting off on an adventure across Europe with her best friends before settling into her perfectly planned life, when she crosses paths with a magnetic and mysterious stranger, will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video.

Composer Brocker Way (Death and Other Details) is reteaming with directors Chapman & Maclain Way on the new Netflix original documentary series America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys. The show produced by Skydance Sports in association with NFL Films and Stardust Frames Productions explores the controversies that defined the Dallas Cowboys and led them to three Super Bowl championships. The 8-parter features interviews with Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, Jimmy Johnson, Deion Sanders, Barry Switzer, among others.

‘Death and Other Details’ Soundtrack to Be Released

Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the Hulu original series Death and Other Details. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Brocker Way (Wild Wild Country, The Battered Bastards of Baseball, Untold). Premiering today is the HBO original series True Detective: Night Country written and directed by Issa López and starring Jodie Foster, Kali Reis, Isabella Star Lablanc, Fiona Shaw, Finn Bennett, Christopher Eccleston, Aka Niviâna, Joel D. Montgrand, Anna Lambe and John Hawkes. The show’s original music composed by Vince Pope (No Offence, Black Mirror: Be Right Back, Misfits, Resistance,You & Me, Wolfe). Also premiering today is the AMC limited series Monsieur Spade created by Scott Frank & Tom Fontana and starring Clive Owen, Cara Bossom, Chiara Mastroianni, Denis Ménochet, Louise Bourgoin, Jonathan Zaccaï, Stanley Weber, Rebecca Root and Matthew Beard. Carlos Rafael Rivera (The Queen’s Gambit, Godless, Lessons in Chemistry, A Walk Among the Tombstone, Hacks, Chupa) has composed the show’s original music. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score in the coming weeks. Western Vinyl has announced a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Wild Wild Country. The album features the show’s original music composed by Brocker Way (The Battered Bastards of Baseball). The soundtrack will be released digitally, on CD and on vinyl on September 21, 2018. Wild Wild Country is directed by Maclain Way & Chapman Way and tells the story of a controversial cult leader who builds a utopian city in the Oregon desert, resulting in conflict with the locals that escalates into a national scandal. Mark & Jay Duplass serve as executive producers.

A soundtrack album for the documentary The Battered Bastards of Baseball has been released. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brocker Way. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. The Battered Bastards of Baseball is directed by Chapman & Maclain Way and features appearances by Kurt Russell and director Todd Field (Little Children) who is currently developing a narrative feature based on the material. The movie tells the true story of the Portland Mavericks, a scrappy, independent baseball team of underdogs started by actor Bing Russell in the 1970s. The documentary premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is now available to stream on Netflix.
