Adam Young has released his first full score, which is inspired by the epic voyage of Apollo 11 to the moon. The singer/songwriter who is best known for his electronica project Owl City is planning to pick a historical event in history and produce a score for it each month. His first release, Apollo 11 based on the 1969 moon landing, is now available to download on Amazon & iTunes and can also be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music. Young has previously written the theme song for Zack Snyder’s animated feature Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole and also contributed original compositions for Disney Animation’s Academy Award-winning movie Wreck-It Ralph and DreamWorks Animation’s The Croods. Screamworks Records will release a soundtrack album for the horror thriller The Hallow. The album features the film’s original music composed by James Gosling (Merlin, Atlantis). Also included is the song The Woods by Sea Read. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, February 5, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Hallow is directed by Corin Hardy and stars Joseph Mawie, Bojana Novakovic and Michael McElhatton. Chris Alan Lee has signed on to score the upcoming ABC comedy Uncle Buck. The show is developed by Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley and stars Mike Epps, Nia Long, James Lesure, Iman Benson, Sayeed Shahidi and Aalyrah Caldwell. The series is based on the 1989 movie of the same title starring John Candy and follows a fun loving but irresponsible guy who needs a job and a place to stay and moves in with his brother and sister-in-law as their nieces and nephew’s Nanny has just quit. John Swihart has been tapped to score the upcoming comedy Table 19. The film is directed by Jeffrey Blitz (Rocket Science) and stars Anna Kendrick, Craig Robinson, Lisa Kudrow, Stephen Merchant, Tony Revolori, June Squibb, Wyatt Russell and Amanda Crew. The movie follows a group of strangers who are marooned at the misfits table at a destination wedding. Mark & Jay Duplass (Cyrus, Jeff Who Lives at Home, Togetherness) have written the screenplay. Entertainment One Music will release a new soundtrack album for the supernatural TV drama series Bitten. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Todor Kobakov (The Samaritan, Born to Be Blue, Hellions). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 12, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. The label has previously released a Vol. 1 soundtrack featuring the composer’s music from the first season.
