Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the thriller In Darkness. The album features the film’s original music composed by Niall Byrne (Cairo Time, Parked, Hatton Garden). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 25 and will be available to download on Amazon. In Darkness is directed by Anthony Byrne and stars Natalie Dormer (who also co-wrote the screenplay), Ed Skrein, Emily Ratajkowski, Neil Maskell, Jan Bijvoet, James Cosmo and Joely Richardson. The movie follows a blind pianist who gets pulled into London’s dark underbelly after she overhears a struggle in the apartment above hers that leads to the death of her neighbor. Mute Records has announced a soundtrack album for the drama 1/1. The album features the film’s original music by the rock band Liars (aka Aaron Hemphill and Angus Andrews) who are making their film scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released on July 17, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A track from the album is already available to download. Check out the music video after the jump. 1/1 is written and directed by Jeremy Phillips and stars Lindsey Shaw, Judd Nelson and Dendrie Taylor. The series explores the inner workings of the New York office of the FBI, bringing to bear all the Bureau’s skills, intellect and mind-blowing technology to keep New York and the country safe. Harry Gregson-Williams has been hired to score the upcoming Disneynature documentary Penguins. The film is directed by Alastair Fothergill (Earth, African Cats, Chimpanzee), co-directed by Mark Linfield and Jeff Wilson and tells the coming-of-age story about an Adélie penguin named Steve who joins millions of fellow males in the icy Antarctic spring on a quest to build a suitable nest, find a life partner and start a family.
