Opening in most theaters is the animated sequel The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part directed by Mike Mitchell and starring Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett and Tiffany Haddish. The film’s original score is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, 21/22 Jump Street, The Royal Tenenbaums). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score (click here for the full album details). Also available now is a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie, most of which are written by Jon Lajoie (click here for more information).

Also opening nationwide is the comedy What Men Want directed by Adam Shankman and starring Taraji P. Henson, Aldis Hodge, Richard Roundtree, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Tracy Morgan. Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Crazy Rich Asians, Iron Man 3) has composed the film’s original music. ‘The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part’ Score Album Details

WaterTower Music will release a score album for the animated feature The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, 21/22 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Royal Tenenbaums) who previously scored 2014’s original The LEGO Movie, as well as 2017’s The LEGO Ninjago Movie. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 7 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon (CD version) and will also be available to download here. As previously reported, a separate album featuring the songs from the movie is also being released this week.

Original End Credits Song ‘Super Cool’ by Beck feat. Robyn & The Lonely Island Released

WaterTower Music has released the original end credits song Super Cool from the animated sequel The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. The track is performed by Beck feat. Robyn & The Lonely Island. Beck also wrote the track with Akiva Schaffer, Andy Samberg & Jorma Taccone of The Lonely Island providing additional lyrics. The song, which is produced by Beck & David Greenbaum, is now available to download on Amazon and can also be checked out after the jump. A full soundtrack album featuring all the original songs from the movie will be released on February 7 and is available to order here (check out our previous article for the full album details).

‘The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part’ Soundtrack Details

The details of the soundtrack album for the animated sequel The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part have been revealed. The album features the songs from the movie including the end credits track Super Cool by Beck (feat. Robyn & The Lonely Island), as well as songs performed by Dillon Francis (feat. T-Pain & That Girl Lay Lay), Superorganism, Matt and Kim, cast members Tiffany Haddish, Will Arnett, Stephanie Beatriz, Superorganism & more. Also included are new versions of the Academy Award-nominated song Everything Is Awesome written for the original 2014 The LEGO Movie. Jon Lajoie is the principal songwriter for most of the original songs and Marius de Vries (La La Land, Moulin Rouge!) serves as the movie’s executive music producer.

Dillon Francis’ ‘Catchy Song’ from ‘The LEGO Movie 2’ Released

Dillon Francis has teamed up with T-Pain and That Girl Lay Lay for the  new track Catchy Song from the animated sequel The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. The song, which is written by Francis, Jon Lajoie & James Rushent, is being released by WaterTower Music today and is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. The LEGO Movie 2 is directed by Mike Mitchell, written by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller and features the voices by Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Tiffany Haddish, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie and Stephanie Beatriz.

Mark Mothersbaugh to Return for ‘The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part’

Warner Bros. Pictures has confirmed that Mark Mothersbaugh will return as the composer for the upcoming animated sequel The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. The film is directed by Mike Mitchell (Shrek Ever After, Trolls, Sky High) and features the voices of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie, Tiffany Haddish, Stephanie Beatriz, and Arturo Castro. Phil Lord & Christopher Miller (21/22 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) who helmed the 2014 original movie wrote the screenplay with Adam Pava (The Boxtrolls) and Michael Fogel.
