The film is directed by Jon Erwin (I Can Only Imagine, I Still Believe) and stars William Franklyn-Miller in the title role, alongside Mary-Louise Parker, Kelsey Grammer, Andy Serkis, Joel Smallbone and Ben Kingsley. The movie chronicles the origins of the first President of the United States (1732-1799) who, as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army, led the American colonies to independence before serving two terms as the first US President, establishing precedents that endure today. Erwin also co-wrote the screenplay with Tom Provost (Under Suspicion, The Presence) and Diederik Hoogstraten. He is also producing the Wonder, 10 Ton & 2521 Entertainment production with Chip Diggins (A Walk in the Woods, Equals), Kristy Choo, Adam Abel (Freetown, We Love You, Sally Carmichael!) and Kristopher Kimlin. The Kiners have previously collaborated with Erwin on the Prime Video series House of David. Young Washington will be released nationwide this holiday weekend by Angel (Studios).

The composers also continue to score Disney+’s Ahsoka, which will return for a second season & Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord, which will also return for a second season, as well as AMC’s Dark Winds, which has been renewed for a fifth season.
