Columbia Records has released the original end credits song Love Will Survive from the Peacock/Sky limited series The Tattooist of Auschwitz. The track written by the show’s composers Hans Zimmer & Kara Talve, as well as Walter Afanasieff, with lyrics by Charlie Midnight, produced by Afanasieff & Peter Asher and performed by Barbra Streisand is now available to stream/download on all major digital services, including Amazon Also listen to the song below. A full soundtrack album featuring Zimmer’s & Kalve’s score from the drama will be announced soon. The Tattooist of Auschwitz is directed by Tali Shalom-Ezer and stars Anna Próchniak, Harvey Keitel, Jonah Hauer-King, Jonas Nay and Melanie Lynskey.

Premiering today is the Hulu limited series Faraway Downs co-written and directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Ben Mendelsohn and Brandon Walters and Bryan Brown. The reimagined version of the 2008 feature Australia is scored by Kara Talve (Prehistoric Planet, The Tatooist of Auschwitz, The Simpsons) for Bleeding Fingers Music. Sony Music Australia has released a soundtrack album featuring Budjerah’ & Matt Corb’sy theme song The Way, as well as other songs from the show earlier this week. Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, November 27, is the British miniseries Steeltown Murders written by Ed Whitmore and starring Philip Glenister, Steffan Rhodri, Keith Allen, Sharon Morgan, Scott Arthur, Siôn Alun Davies and Priyanga Burford. Sarah Warne (Humans, Time, Des, The Drowning, Hollington Drive, Dark Money) has composed the show’s original music. Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past June. Hans Zimmer & Kara Talve to Score Sky’s & Peacock’s ‘The Tattooist of Auschwitz’
Sky and Peacock have announced today that Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Inception, Dune, The Dark Knight) and Kara Talve (Prehistoric Planet, The Simpsons) will score the upcoming limited series The Tattooist of Auschwitz. The show is based on the bestselling novel of the same title by Heather Morris and stars Jonah Hauer-King, Anna Próchniak, Harvey Keitel, Melanie Lynskey and Jonas Nay. The 6-part drama is inspired by the true-life story of Lale Sokolov who arrived at Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1942 and was given the job of tattooing identification numbers on prisoners’ arms.
‘Prehistoric Planet’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Details
Lakeshore Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ natural history event series Prehistoric Planet. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Anže Rožman (The Planets, Great Bear Rainforests, Universe), Kara Talve (Perpetual Planet: Heroes of the Oceans) and Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Inception, Dune). Zimmer & Andrew James Christie (The Flood) have written the Prehistoric Planet Theme. The soundtrack will be released digitally this coming Monday, May 22 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released the composers’ music from Season 1 last year.
Kara Talve to Score Hulu’s ‘Faraway Downs’ for Bleeding Fingers Music
Kara Talve (Prehistoric Planet, The Simpsons) has been tapped to score the upcoming Hulu limited series Faraway Downs. The show is a new serialized and expanded version of Baz Luhrmann’s 2008 feature Australia scored by David Hirschfelder and starring Nicole Kidman & Hugh Jackman. Talve is composing and recording a new score for the 6-part drama, which tells the story of an English aristocrat who inherits the titular cattle ranch in Australia following the death of her husband and reluctantly joins forces with a rough-hewn cattle drover to protect her property when a group of Australian cattle barons plot to take her land.

Zimmer & Andrew James Christie (The Flood) have written the Prehistoric Planet Theme. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, June 24 and will be available to stream/download here. Prehistoric Planet is narrated by Sir David Attenborough and presents little-known and surprising facts of dinosaur life set against the backdrop of the environments of Cretaceous times, including coasts, deserts, freshwater, ice worlds and forests.

John Williams (Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark) has written a new theme for the title character and Natalie Holt (Loki, Journey’s End, Knightfall, Herself, Beecham House) has composed the original score. Hans Zimmer Scoring Apple TV+’s ‘Prehistoric Planet’
Hans Zimmer is composing original music for the upcoming Apple TV+ natural history series Prehistoric Planet. The composer is co-scoring the show with Anze Rozman (The Planets, Universe) and Kara Talve (Perpetual Planet: Heroes of the Oceans) for Bleeding Fingers Music. He also co-wrote the series’ theme with Andrew Christie (The Flood) for Bleeding Fingers Music. The 5-part documentary is narrated by Sir David Attenborough and recreates the last days of the dinosaurs and uses CGI to take viewers back in time, experiencing the wonders of planet Earth 66 million years ago. Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Mandalorian, The Jungle Book) and Mike Gunton (Dynasties, The Green Planet) are executive producing the project from BBC Studios’ Bristol-based Natural History Unit.
