Premiering today is the Hulu limited series Faraway Downs co-written and directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Ben Mendelsohn and Brandon Walters and Bryan Brown. The reimagined version of the 2008 feature Australia is scored by Kara Talve (Prehistoric Planet, The Tatooist of Auschwitz, The Simpsons) for Bleeding Fingers Music. Sony Music Australia has released a soundtrack album featuring Budjerah’ & Matt Corb’sy theme song The Way, as well as other songs from the show earlier this week. Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, November 27, is the British miniseries Steeltown Murders written by Ed Whitmore and starring Philip Glenister, Steffan Rhodri, Keith Allen, Sharon Morgan, Scott Arthur, Siôn Alun Davies and Priyanga Burford. Sarah Warne (Humans, Time, Des, The Drowning, Hollington Drive, Dark Money) has composed the show’s original music. Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past June.
