RCA Records will release the official soundtrack album for the concert documentary EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert. The album features the Elvis Presley songs from the movie and will be released on February 20. EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert is directed by Baz Luhrmann (who also serves as the project’s executive music producer) and features long-lost footage from Presley’s legendary Vegas residency in the 1970s, woven together with rare 16mm footage from Elvis on Tour and 8mm film from the Graceland archive, along with rediscovered recordings of Elvis telling ‘his side of the story.’

Sony Music Australia has released a soundtrack album for the Hulu original limited series Faraway Downs. The album features the show’s theme song The Way written and performed by Budjerah & Matt Corby (also available separately as a digital single from Hollywood Records), as well as tracks by Electric Fields, King Stingray, Jessica Mauboy and Miiesh. The album features fifteen additional tracks, including four previously unreleased recordings of Presley hits performed by Austin Butler, the Toxic Las Vegas remix by Jamieson Shaw, the new mash-up Backstreet Boss Nova (Daisy O’Dell Remix), and Fly Away Weave by the film’s composer Elliott Wheeler, Butler, Gary Clark Jr., Shannon Sanders, the Nashville Urban Choir, Shonka Dukureh & Lanesha Randolph. Kara Talve to Score Hulu’s ‘Faraway Downs’ for Bleeding Fingers Music
Kara Talve (Prehistoric Planet, The Simpsons) has been tapped to score the upcoming Hulu limited series Faraway Downs. The show is a new serialized and expanded version of Baz Luhrmann’s 2008 feature Australia scored by David Hirschfelder and starring Nicole Kidman & Hugh Jackman. Talve is composing and recording a new score for the 6-part drama, which tells the story of an English aristocrat who inherits the titular cattle ranch in Australia following the death of her husband and reluctantly joins forces with a rough-hewn cattle drover to protect her property when a group of Australian cattle barons plot to take her land.

The full details of the soundtrack album for the biographical drama Elvis have been revealed. The album features the songs from the movie, including The King and I by Eminem & CeeLo Green, Kacey Musgraves’ cover of Can’t Help Falling in Love, Yola’s rendition of Strange Things Are Happening Every Day, Måneskin’s cover of If I Can Dream, Stevie Nicks’ & Chris Isaak’s version of Cotton Candy Land & more. A cover of the Elvis Presley classic Trouble performed by Austin Butler (who stars in the title role) has just been released today and can be checked out after the jump. ‘The Get Down’ Score Album to Be Released
RCA Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series The Get Down. The album features selections from the show’s original score composed by Elliott Wheeler (Restraint). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 8. The download link will be added to this article over night. The label has previously released two soundtracks for Part I and Part II of the drama featuring the songs from the series. The Get Down is created by Baz Luhrmann and stars Justice Smith, Shameik Moore, Herizen Guardiola, Skylan Brooks, Tremaine Brown Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Jimmy Smits. The show is set in 1977 New York City and follows the talented and soulful youth of the South Bronx as they chase dreams and breakneck beats to transform music history.
