Lakeshore Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ natural history event series Prehistoric Planet. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Anže Rožman (The Planets, Great Bear Rainforests, Universe), Kara Talve (Perpetual Planet: Heroes of the Oceans) and Hans Zimmer (The Lion KingGladiator, The Dark Knight, Inception, Dune). Zimmer & Andrew James Christie (The Flood) have written the Prehistoric Planet Theme. The soundtrack will be released digitally this coming Monday, May 22 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released the composers’ music from Season 1 last year. Season 2 of Prehistoric Planet is narrated by Sir David Attenborough and explores five new ancient habitats as audiences are transported to the active volcanoes of India, the deep oceans near North America, the marshlands of Madagascar and other places. The new season of the series executive produced by Jon Favreau & Mike Gunton will premiere on Monday exclusively on Apple TV+.
