Johnny Klimek is set to reteam with director Greg McLean on the upcoming psychological thriller Jungle. The film stars Daniel Radcliffe as a young adventurer who travels into the Amazon with two friends and a guide in what turns out to be a dangerous and deadly expedition. Thomas Kretschmann, Alex Russell, Joel Jackson and Yasmin Kassim are co-starring. Justin Monjo has written the screenplay based on Yossi Ghinsberg’s memoir about his trip into the Amazon. McLean is also producing the project with Dana Lustig (Kill Me Later), Gary Hamilton (A Few Best Men) and Mike Gabrawy (The Courier, Reclaim).

Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the dramatic thriller Money Monster directed by Jodie Foster and starring George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Jack O’Connell, Dominic West, Giancarlo Esposito and Caitriona Balfe. The film’s original score is composed by Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Free Birds) and produced by Henry Jackman. Opening nationwide this week is the fantasy adventure The Huntsman: Winter’s War directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan and starring Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt, Nick Frost, Sam Claflin, Rob Brydon and Jessica Chastain. The film’s original music is composed by James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, King Kong, Maleficent, The Sixth Sense). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as a new version of the song Castle by Halsey arranged by the Howard. ‘A Hologram for the King’ Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the comedy drama A Hologram for the King. The album features the film’s original music composed by Johnny Klimek (Cloud Atlas, One Hour Photo, Sense8) and the movie’s director Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run, The International). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 22, 2016 and physically on May 20. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. A Hologram for the King is written and directed by Tykwer and stars Tom Hanks, Alexander Black, Sarita Choudhury, Ben Winshaw, Tom Skerritt, Sidse Babett Knudsen and Jay Abdo. The movie is based on the novel by Dave Eggers and follows a failed American businessman who looks to recoup his losses by traveling to Saudi Arabia and selling his idea to a wealthy monarch.
Johnny Klimek to Score ‘Patient Zero’
Johnny Klimek has been tapped to score the upcoming action thriller Patient Zero. The film is directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky (The Counterfeiters, Anatomy, Deadfall) and stars Matt Smith, Natalie Dormer, John Bradley Agyness Deyn and Stanley Tucci. The movie takes place after an unprecedented global pandemic of a super strain of rabies has turned the majority of humankind into highly intelligent, streamlined killers and follows one victim who is asymptomatic and can communicate with the infected and leads the last survivors on a hunt for Patient Zero and a cure.

Premiering tomorrow, June 2, is the ABC drama The Whispers created by Soo Hugh, executive produced by Steven Spielberg and starring Lily Rabe, Barry Sloane, Derek Webster, Milo Ventimiglia, Brianna Brown, Kylie Rogers, Kyle Harrison Breitkopf and Catalina Deni. The show’s original music is composed by Robert Duncan (Castle, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Last Resort, The Unit). The Whispers is based on the short story Zero Hour by Ray Bradbury and chronicles the race against the clock to defeat an unseen alien enemy out to achieve world domination using the planet’s most unlikely resource: the children. Also premiering tomorrow is the Lifetime original series UnReal created by Marti Noxon & Sarah Gertrude Shapiro and starring Shiri Appleby, Constance Zimmer, Craig Bierko, Freddie Stroma, Josh Kelly and Nathalie Kelley. Fil Eisler (Empire, Revenge, Shameless) has composed the show’s original music. UnReal is based on Shapiro’s short Sequin Raze and follows a young staff member on a hit competition dating show who does everything she can to help please the show’s executive producer. The film is directed by Tykwer (Run Lola Run, The International) and stars Tom Hanks, Sarita Choudhury, Omar Elba, Tracey Fairaway, David Menkin and Tom Skerritt. The movie is based on the novel by Dave Eggers takes place in an up-and-coming Saudi Arabian city that provides the backdrop for a foundering American businessman’s last-ditch effort to stave off bankruptcy, pay his daughters college fees, and finally accomplish something big. Tykwer also wrote the screenplay.

Johnny Klimek is reteaming with director Greg Mclean on the upcoming thriller 6 Miranda Drive. The film stars Kevin Bacon, Radha Mitchell, Jennifer Morrison, David Mazouz, Lucy Fry and Matt Walsh. The movie follows two families who return from a summer camping trip in the Grand Canyon with a supernatural presence in tow. Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, Insidious, The Purge) is producing the project through his Blumhouse production company alongside Matt Kaplan for Chapter One and Bianca Martino for Emu Creek Pictures. Klimek has previously collaborated with Mclean on the horror sequel Wolf Creek 2.
