Johnny Klimek (Run Lola Run, One Hour Photo, Cloud Atlas, Deadwood) and Gabriel Mounsey are scoring the upcoming Netflix original series Messiah. The show is created by Michael Petroni (The Book Thief, The Rite, Queen of the Damned) and stars Michelle Monaghan, John Ortiz, Tomer Sisley, Mehdi Dehbi, Melinda Page Hamilton, Stefania LaVie Owen, Jane Adams, Sayyid El Alami, Fares Landoulsi and Wil Traval. The 10-part drama chronicles the modern world’s reaction to al-Masih, a man who first appears in the Middle East, creating a groundswell of followers around him claiming he is the Messiah.

Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the comedy Life of the Party directed by Ben Falcone and starring Melissa McCarthy, Gillian Jacobs, Maya Rudolph, Julie Bowen, Matt Walsh, Molly Gordon, Stephen Root and Jacki Weaver. The film’s original score is composed by Fil Eisler (Empire, Revenge, How to Be Single, CHiPs). Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the thriller Breaking In. Johnny Klimek to Score James McTeigue’s ‘Breaking In’
Johnny Klimek has been tapped to score the upcoming thriller Breaking In. The film is directed by James McTeigue (V for Vendetta, Ninja Assassin, The Raven) and stars Gabrielle Union, Christa Miller, Ajiona Alexus and Billy Burke. The movie follows a woman who, after the sudden death of her father, takes her two kids to her father’s Malibu mansion to settle his estate, when four villains intent on finding the deceased’s safe and making off with its contents enter the premise. Ryan Engle (Non-Stop, The Commuter) wrote the screenplay.
‘Dieses bescheuerte Herz’ Soundtrack Released
Königskinder Music has released a soundtrack album for the German comedy drama Dieses bescheuerte Herz. The album features the film’s original music composed by Golden Globe nominee Johnny Klimek (Cloud Atlas, Run Lola Run, One Hour Photo, Sense8, The International). Also included are the original songs from the movie by Christian “Crada” Kalla. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Dieses bescheuerte Herz is directed by Marc Rothemund and stars Elyas M’Barek, Philip Noah Schwarz, Nadine Wrietz, Uwe Preuss, Lisa Bitter, Jürgen Tonkel and Tesha Moon Krieg.
‘Jungle’ Soundtrack Details
Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the thriller Jungle. The album features the film’s original music composed by Johnny Klimek (Cloud Atlas, Run Lola Run, The International, Sense8, One Hour Photo). The soundtrack will be physically on December 8, 2017. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. A digital release within the next few weeks. Jungle is directed by Greg McLean who previously collaborated with Klimek on Wolf Creek 2 & The Darkness and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Thomas Kretschman, Alex Russell and Joel Jackson. The movie follows an enthusiastic young adventurer follows his dreams into the Amazon jungle with two friends and a guide with a mysterious past.

‘Babylon Berlin’ Soundtrack Announced
BMG will release as soundtrack album for the German television series Babylon Berlin. The album features the show’s original music composed by Johnny Klimek & Tom Tykwer (Cloud Atlas, Run Lola Run, The International, Sense8, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer). Also included are tracks by The Bryan Ferry Orchestra, Moka Efti Orchestra, Tim Fischer & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on November 24, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Babylon Berlin is co-created and -directed by Tykwer and stars Volker Bruch, Liv Lisa Fries, Matthias Brandt, Hannah Herzsprung, Karl Markovics, Lars Eidinger and Sebastian Urzen. The drama is based on Volker Kutscher’s book Der nasse Fisch and follows a police inspector caught up in a web of drugs, sex, political intrigue and murder in go-go Berlin as Germany teeters on the edge of Nazism.

Tom Tykwer & Johnny Klimek Scoring ‘Babylon Berlin’
Tom Tykwer and Johnny Klimek are composing the original music for the upcoming German television series Babylon Berlin. The show is directed by Tykwer and stars Volker Bruch, Liv Lisa Fries, Matthias Brandt, Hannah Herzsprung, Karl Markovics, Lars Eidinger and Sebastian Urzen. The drama is based on Volker Kutscher’s book Der nasse Fisch and follows young police inspector Gereon Rath in 1929 Berlin, a hotbed of politics, art, extremism, drugs and murder. The series is produced by Sky Deutschland, ARD Degeto, X Filme and Beta Film.
