Brookhaven has released a digital single featuring two tracks from the score for the psychological thriller Never Here. The film’s original music is composed by James Lavino (Wiener-Dog, Burning Blue, Murder on Middle Beach, Murder in the Bayou). Never Here is directed by Camille Thoman and stars Mireille Enos, Sam Shepard, Vincent Piazza and Goran Visnjic. The movie revolves around an installation artist who follows and photographs strangers when disturbing events lead her to suspect she’s being watched.

Brookhaven has released a soundtrack album for the HBO docu-series Murder on Middle Beach. The album features the show’s original music composed by James Lavino (Wiener-Dog, Burning Blue, Murder in the Bayou, Never Here). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services. Murder on Middle Beach is directed by Madison Hamburg and examines the filmmaker’s complicated journey to solve an unspeakable crime and absolve the people he loves while seeking out answers within his own fractured family and community. The 4-parter revolves around the case of Madison’s mother, Barbara Hamburg, who was brutally murdered in 2010 near her home in the upper-middle class enclave of Madison, Connecticut.
Soundtrack Album for Showtime’s ‘Murder in the Bayou’ Released
Brookhaven has released a soundtrack album for the Showtime docu-series Murder in the Bayou. The album features the show’s original music composed by James Lavino (Wiener-Dog, Burning Blue, Which Way Home, Never Here). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Murder in the Bayou is directed and executive produced by Matthew Galkin and investigates the unsolved murders of 8 women whose bodies were discovered in drainage canals and on desolate back roads in and around Jennings, Louisiana.

Opening in mos theater is the disaster movie Geostorm directed by Dean Devlin and starring Gerard Butler, Jim Sturgess, Abbie Cornish, Daniel Wu, Ed Harris and Andy Garcia. The album features the film’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (The LEGO Batman Movie, Genius, Home, Terminator Genisys, Megamind). Also opening wide is the action drama Only the Brave directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges, James Badge Dale, Taylor Kitsch & Jennifer Connelly. James Lavino to Score ‘One Last Thing’
James Lavino has been hired to score the upcoming indie drama One Last Thing. The film is written and directed by Tim Rouhana and stars Wendell Pierce (The Wire, Treme), Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey) and Jurnee Smollet-Bell (Underground). The movie tells the story of a lonely dentist in Florida whose days are filled by work and his solo daily golf game and who begins to journey outside his comfort zone when he’s confronted by a figure from the past and finds out that he has an adult daughter living in Brooklyn. Alexa L. Fogel and Brendan Mason are producing the Beech Hill Films & Low Profile Films production.

James Lavino Scoring Todd Solondz’s ‘Wiener-Dog’
James Lavino has composed the music for the upcoming indie comedy Wiener-Dog. The film is written and directed by Todd Solondz (Happiness, Welcome to the Dollhouse) and stars Greta Gerwig, Kieran Culkin, Danny DeVito, Ellen Burstyn, Julie Delpy and Zosia Mamet. The movie tells several stories featuring people who find their life inspired or changed by one particular dachshund, who seems to be spreading comfort and joy. Megan Ellison (American Hustle, Foxcatcher, Her) is producing the project for Annapurna Pictures, alongside Christine Vachon (Carol, Boys Don’t Cry, One Hour Photo) for Killer Films.
