Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the dramatic thriller Septembers of Shiraz. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, 42, Once Upon a Time, American Crime). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, July 15 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Septembers of Shiraz is directed by Wayne Blair and stars Adrien Brody, Salma Hayak-Pinault, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Alon Aboutboul, Ariana Molkara, Jamie Ward and Wadih Dona. The movie is based on bestselling novel of the same title by Dalia Sofer and centers on a secular Jewish family caught in the Islamic revolution in Iran, and their journey to overcome and escape from the deadly tyranny that swept their country.

Four new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi action adventure Independence Day: Resurgence directed by Roland Emmerich and starring Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe and Sela Ward. The film’s original music is composed by Thomas Wander & Harald Kloser (2012, White House Down, The Day After Tomorrow, 10’000 BC). Also opening wide is the historical drama Free State of Jones directed by Gary Ross and starring Matthew McConaughey, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mahershala Ali and Keri Russell. Nicholas Britell (The Big Short, A Tale of Love and Darkness) has composed the film’s original music. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song I’m Crying by Lucinda Williams. Mark Isham is composing the music for the upcoming thriller Septembers of Shiraz. The film is directed by Wayne Blair (The Sapphires) and stars Salma Hayek, Adrien Brody and Shoreh Aghdashloo. The movie is based on the New York Times bestseller of the same title by Dalia Sofer and centers on a secular Jewish family caught in the Islamic revolution in Iran, and their journey to overcome and escape from the deadly tyranny that swept their country. Hanna Weg has adapted the material for the screen. Gerard Butler & Alan Siegel (Olympus Has Fallen, Law Abiding Citizen) and Danielle Robinson are producing the Millennium Entertainment and Eclectic Pictures production with Heidi Jo Markel (Lovelace, Trust) and Weg.
