WaterTower Music has released a new soundtrack EP for the Cartoon Network animated special Adventure Time: Distant Lands. The 6-track EP features all the original songs from the second episode of the show, entitled Obsidian, performed by cast members including Michaela Dietz, Audrey Bennett, Charlotte Nicdao, Aleks Sennwald, Pete Toms, Olivia Olson & others. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music service to stream/download the soundtrack. The label has previously released a mixtape for the first episode, BMO, this past summer. Adventure Time: Distant Lands – Obsidian follows Marceline and Princess Bubblegum as they must face down demons from their past in order to defeat a reawakened enemy in the Glass Kingdom.

Premiering today is the Netflix original film Christmas on the Square directed by Debbie Allen and starring Dolly Parton, Christine Baranski, Treat Williams, Jeanine Mason, Josh Segarra, Mary Lane Haskell and Jenifer Lewis. The film’s original music is composed by Dolly Parton (who wrote 14 original songs for the project) and conducted by Larry Blank. The holiday musical, which follows a small town “Scrooge” as she’s visited by a rhinestone-bedazzled angel who guides her on a musical journey of redemption, is now available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Premiering tomorrow, November 23, is the FX and BBC limited series Black Narcissus developed by Amanda Coe based on the novel of the same title by Rumer Godden and starring Gemma Arterton, Alessandro Nivola, Diana Rigg, Aisling Franciosi, Jim Broadbent, Rosie Cavaliero, Patsy Ferran, Karen Bryson, Nila Aalia, Kulvinder Ghir, Chaneil Kular, Gina McKee, Soumil Malla, Dipika Kunwar,and Gianni Gonsalves. The show’s original music is composed by Anne Dudley (The Full Monty, American History X, The Crying Game, Poldark, The Hustle). Soundtrack Album for HBO’s ‘Murder on Middle Beach’ Released
Brookhaven has released a soundtrack album for the HBO docu-series Murder on Middle Beach. The album features the show’s original music composed by James Lavino (Wiener-Dog, Burning Blue, Murder in the Bayou, Never Here). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services. Murder on Middle Beach is directed by Madison Hamburg and examines the filmmaker’s complicated journey to solve an unspeakable crime and absolve the people he loves while seeking out answers within his own fractured family and community. The 4-parter revolves around the case of Madison’s mother, Barbara Hamburg, who was brutally murdered in 2010 near her home in the upper-middle class enclave of Madison, Connecticut.

Premiering tonight is the Showtime docu-series The Reagans directed and executive produced by Matt Tyrnauer about the rise and reign of America’s ultimate power couple, Ronald & Nancy Reagan. The show’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, His Dark Materials, The Crown, Home, Bad Boys for Life) who previously scored Tyrnauer’s features Studio 54 and Where’s My Roy Cohn?. Premiering on Wednesday, November 18, is the documentary Crazy, Not Insane directed and produced by Alex Gibney about Dr. Dorothy Otnow Lewis, a psychiatrist who has dedicated her career to studying murderers and seeking answers as to why people kill. Will Bates (Unbelievable, Away, I Origins, The Magicians, The Looming Tower, Nightflyers) who has previously scored numerous of Gibney’s documentaries has composed the film’s original music. The movie, which premiered at this year’s Copenhagen International Documentary Festival and also screened at the 2020 Venice Film Festival will debut in the U.S. exclusively on HBO and HBO Max.

SATV has released a soundtrack album for the Sky original series I Hate Suzie. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Johnny Lloyd & Nathan Coen (Rare Beasts). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, Apple Music and other digital music stores. I Hate Suzie is created by Billie Piper & Lucy Prebble and stars Piper herself, Leila Farzad, Daniel Ings and Nathaniel Martello-White. The dramedy produced by Bad Wolf Limited follows an actress whose life is thrown into turmoil when her phone is hacked and extremely compromising photographs of her are leaked.

The show’s original music is composed by Harry Escott (Shame, Hard Candy, Welcome to the Punch, A Mighty Heart). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score (to be released by Silva Screen Records) will be announced soon. Premiering on Thursday, November 5, is the Netflix original film Operation Christmas Drop directed by Martin Wood and starring Kat Graham, Alexander Ludwig, Virginia Madsen, Janet Kidder, Jeff Joseph, Bethany Brown, Trezzo Mahoro, Rohan Campbell, Aliza Vellani, Aaron Douglas, Xavier de Guzman and Bruce Best. Hamish Thomson (Chesapeake Shore , Love Locks) has composed the movie’s original score. The romantic comedy, which follows a by-the-book political aide who falls for a big-hearted Air Force pilot while looking to shut down his tropical base and its airborne Christmas tradition, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
‘537 Votes’ Soundtrack Album Released
BRob Makes Records has released a soundtrack album for the HBO original documentary 537 Votes. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brian “B-Rob” Robertson (Screwball, Dawg Fight, The Tanning of America). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. 537 Votes is directed by Billy Corben and chronicles the political machinations that led to the unprecedented, contested outcome of the 2000 presidential election. The movie executive produced by Adam McKay (The Big Short, Talladega Nights) & Todd Schulman examines the events in the battleground state of Florida leading up to and after election day in November 2000, when a voter recount resulted in George W. Bush winning the presidency by a razor-thin margin.

Steven Price (Gravity, Our Planet, Suicide Squad) has composed the film’s original score and Christopher Curtis, Marjorie Duffield & Helen Park have written the original songs. Nathan Micay Scoring HBO’s & BBC’s ‘Industry’
EDM producer Nathan Micay has made his television scoring debut on the new HBO original series Industry. The show is created by Mickey Down & Konrad Kay and stars Myha’la Herrold, Marisa Abela, Harry Lawtey, Nabhaan Rizwan, David Jonsson, Conor MacNeill and Ken Leung. The drama revolves around an ambitious group of graduates as they compete for a limited number of permanent positions at Pierpoint & Co., a leading bank in London, while being thrown head-first into the exhilarating world of international finance. Down & Kay are also executive producing the project with Jane Tranter (Succession, The Night Of), Lachlan MacKinnon (A Discovery of Witches), Ryan Rasmussen (His Dark Materials) and David P. Davis.
