Hollywood Records will release the first soundtrack album for the ABC drama Big Sky. The album features selections of the original score from the show composed by Trevor Morris (Vikings, The Borgias, Olympus/London Has Fallen, Immortals, The Tudors, Iron Fist, Hunter Killer). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, February 25. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the album. Big Sky is created by David E. Kelley based on the Highway series of books by C.J. Premiering today is the Netflix original film Christmas on the Square directed by Debbie Allen and starring Dolly Parton, Christine Baranski, Treat Williams, Jeanine Mason, Josh Segarra, Mary Lane Haskell and Jenifer Lewis. The film’s original music is composed by Dolly Parton (who wrote 14 original songs for the project) and conducted by Larry Blank. The holiday musical, which follows a small town “Scrooge” as she’s visited by a rhinestone-bedazzled angel who guides her on a musical journey of redemption, is now available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Premiering tomorrow, November 23, is the FX and BBC limited series Black Narcissus developed by Amanda Coe based on the novel of the same title by Rumer Godden and starring Gemma Arterton, Alessandro Nivola, Diana Rigg, Aisling Franciosi, Jim Broadbent, Rosie Cavaliero, Patsy Ferran, Karen Bryson, Nila Aalia, Kulvinder Ghir, Chaneil Kular, Gina McKee, Soumil Malla, Dipika Kunwar,and Gianni Gonsalves. The show’s original music is composed by Anne Dudley (The Full Monty, American History X, The Crying Game, Poldark, The Hustle). Kelley (Big Little Lies, Ally McBeal, The Practice) based on the series of books by C.J. Box, and stars Katheryn Winnick, Kylie Bunbury, Brian Geraghty, Dedee Pfeiffer, Natalie Alyn Lind, Jade Pettyjohn, Jesse James Keitel, Valerie Mahaffey, John Carroll Lynch and Ryan Phillippe. The series follows two private detectives who join forces with an ex-cop to search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana.
