Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Peacock original series Ponies. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Emmy Award nominee Jung Jaeil (Squid Game, Parasite, Okja, Twinless, Mickey 17, Broker, Tempest) who has made his American television scoring debut on the project. Also included are several tracks by Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, Veep, The Personal History of David Copperfield) who has also contributed music to the series. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 15 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the title track below. Ponies is created by David Iserson & Susanna Fogel and stars Emilia Clarke, Haley Lu Richardson, Nicholas Podany, Adrian Lester, Vic Michaelis, Artjom Gilz and Petro Ninovskyi. The espionage thriller follows a Russian-speaking child of Soviet immigrants and a small-town girl who work anonymously as secretaries in the American Embassy as they team up to uncover a vast Cold War conspiracy and solve the mystery behind their husbands’ murders.

Weekly TV Music Roundup (November 23, 2025)
Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British/French drama The Great Escaper directed by Oliver Parker and starring Michael Caine, Glenda Jackson and John Standing. The film’s original music is composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, Love Actually, Romeo + Juliet, The Incredible Hulk, The Great Gatsby, The Bone Collector, Far from the Madding Crowd, Ray, World Trade Center). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score back in 2023 when the movie opened in UK theaters. Premiering on Wednesday, November 26, is the Netflix original film Jingle Bell Heist directed by Michael Fimognari and starring Olivia Holt, Connor Swindells, Peter Serafinowicz, Lucy Punch, Natasha Joseph, Poppy Drayton and Michael Salami. Composer, producer, arranger, DJ, singer/songwriter and pianist Steve Hackman (Radiohead x Brahms, Beethoven x Beyonce) has composed the movie’s original music. Original Song ‘Where Would We Be Without Magee?’ from ‘Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol’ Released
Walt Disney Records has released the original song Where Would We Be Without Magee? from the Disney Channel animated holiday special Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol. The track written by the Disney Television Animation production’s composer Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, Schmigadoon!, The Personal History of David Copperfield) and Elyssa Samsel & Kate Anderson (Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Central Park) and performed by Sarah Chalke (who stars as Magee) is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol is directed by Shane Zalvin and also features the voices of Dave Foley, Derek Richardson, Manny Jacinto, Danny Pudi, Dulcé Sloan and Christopher Swindle.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the horror sequel Smile 2 written and directed by Parker Finn and starring Naomi Scott, Kyle Gallner, Rosemarie DeWitt, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Raúl Castillo, Lukas Gage, Ray Nicholson and Dylan Gelula. The film’s original score is composed by Cristobal Tapia de Veer (The White Lotus, Utopia, The Third Day, The Girl with All the Gifts) who previously scored the 2022 original movie. Interscope Records has released a soundtrack EP featuring the original songs from the movie performed by Scott (as her character Skye Riley) last Friday. A separate score album is expected to be coming out next week. Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, Veep, The Personal History of David Copperfield, The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse, Schmigadoon!, The Lion Guard, Old Dads) has provided the original score for the upcoming comedy Goodrich. The film is written and directed by Hallie Meyers-Shyer (Home Again) and stars Michael Keaton, Mila Kunis, Carmen Ejogo, Lauren Benanti, Kevin Pollak, Michael Urie, Viven Lyra Blair, Danny Deferrari, Nico Haraga and Andie MacDowell. The movie follows a man whose life is upended when his wife and mother of their 9-year-old twins enters a 90-day rehab program, leaving him on his own with their young kids.
Christopher Willis Scoring Disney Junior’s ‘Ariel’ TV Series
Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, The Personal History of David Copperfield, Veep, Schmigadoon!, Old Dads) is scoring the upcoming Disney Junior animated series Ariel. The show is based on Disney’s animated classic The Little Mermaid and stars Mykal-Michelle Harris in the title role, alongside Taye Diggs as King Triton, Amber Riley as Ursula, as well as Gracen Newton, Cruz Flateau, Elizabeth Phoenix Caro, Yvette Nicole Brown, Melissa Villaseñor, Kevin Michael Richardson and Ron Funches. The Wild Canary production is set in the Caribbean-inspired fairytale kingdom of Atlantica and follows the titular young mermaid princess as she embarks on underwater adventures with her family and friends.

Opening in select U.S. theaters today is the French drama Anatomy of a Fall (Anatomie d’une chute) co-written and directed by Justine Triet and starring Sandra Hüller, Swann Arlaud and Milo Machado Graner. The film doesn’t feature an original score and no soundtrack release is expected. The movie, which tells the story of an author who trying to prove her innocence in her husband’s death, premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, where it received the Palme d’Or, and is being released by Neon.
Opening in New York today before expanding to more markets in the coming weeeks is the sci-fi thriller Divinity written and directed by Eddie Alcazar and stars Stephen Dorff, Moises Arias, Bella Thorne, Jason Genao, Scott Bakula and Karrueche Tran. The film’s original music is composed by DJ Muggs (of Cypress Hill) & Dean Hurley (Looks That Kill). Sacred Bones Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the artists’ score today. Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, The Personal History of David Copperfield, Schmigadoon!, The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse) has composed the original score for the upcoming Netflix original film Old Dads. The movie marks the feature directorial debut of Bill Burr and stars the actor/comedian himself, Bobby Cannavale, Bokeem Woodbine, Katie Aselton, Reign Edwards, Rachael Harris, Jackie Tohn, Katrina Bowden, Natasha Leggero, Josh Brener and Bruce Dern. The movie follows a cranky middle-aged dad and his two best friends who find themselves out of step in a changing world of millennial CEOs and powerful preschool principals.

Walt Disney Records has released a new soundtrack EP for the Disney+ animated shorts series The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse. The 6-track EP features five new original songs from the show written by series composer Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, The Personal History of David Copperfield, Schmigadoon!), as well as new version of the Mickey Mouse Club March produced by Willis. The album features seven songs co-written by the shorts’ composer Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, The Personal History of David Copperfield, Veep, Schmigadoon!), as well as the “score” track Springtime Symphony. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Mickey Mouse is developed by Paul Rudish and stars Chris Diamantopoulos, Russi Taylor, Tony Anselmo, Tress MacNeille and Bill Farmer.
