Premiering today is the MGM+ original series Emperor of Ocean Park developed by Sherman Payne based on the novel by Stephen L. Carter and starring Forest Whitaker, Keith Powers, Keith Kupferer, Kelli Simpkins and Deanna Reed-Foster. The show’s original music is composed by Amanda Jones (Moving On, Naomi, Mea Culpa, The Perfect Find, Super/Natural, Young Love, Good Trouble). The drama, which is set in Martha’s Vineyard and follows an esteemed law professor whose quiet life is shattered when his father dies of an apparent heart attack, but his sister, a former journalist and conspiracy theorist, believes that the judge met with foul play, will be available to stream exclusively on MGM+.

Premiering on Thursday, July 18, is the action comedy sequel My Spy: The Eternal City directed by Pete Segal and starring Dave Bautista, Chloe Coleman, Flula Borg, Kristen Schaal, Billy Barratt, Taeho K, Craig Robinson, Anna Faris and Ken Jeong. Sean Segal has composed the film’s original music in his feature scoring debut. Carlos José Alvarez Scoring Stelana Kliris’ Netfilx Film ‘Find Me Falling’

Carlos José Alvarez (Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami, Exposed, The Road House, Of Mind and Music, Revolution Rent) is the composer of the upcoming Netflix original film Find Me Falling. The movie is written and directed by Stelana Kliris (Committed) and stars Harry Connick Jr. (who also contributed two new original songs), Agni Scott, Ali Fumiko Whitney, Tony Demetriou, Clarence Smith, Aggeliki Filippidou, Lea Maleni and Athina Roditou. The romantic drama follows a rock star who retreats to a cliffside home on Cyprus after a failed comeback album, only to find his new life complicated by visitors – and an old flame.

Opening in select U.S. theaters today is the French drama Anatomy of a Fall (Anatomie d’une chute) co-written and directed by Justine Triet and starring Sandra Hüller, Swann Arlaud and Milo Machado Graner. The film doesn’t feature an original score and no soundtrack release is expected. The movie, which tells the story of an author who trying to prove her innocence in her husband’s death, premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, where it received the Palme d’Or, and is being released by Neon.

Opening in New York today before expanding to more markets in the coming weeeks is the sci-fi thriller Divinity written and directed by Eddie Alcazar and stars Stephen Dorff, Moises Arias, Bella Thorne, Jason Genao, Scott Bakula and Karrueche Tran. The film’s original music is composed by DJ Muggs (of Cypress Hill) & Dean Hurley (Looks That Kill). Sacred Bones Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the artists’ score today. ‘The Road Dance’ Soundtrack Album Released

MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the period drama The Road Dance. The album features the film’s original music composed by Carlos José Alvarez (Exposed, Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami, Of Mind and Music, Revolution Rent). Also included is the song Fil O Ro performed by Ellen MacDonald and produced/arranged by Alasdair White. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the soundtrack. The Road Dance is written and directed by Richie Adams and stars Hermione Corfield, Morven Christie, Mark Gatiss, Will Fletcher and Ali Whitney. The movie is based on the 2002 novel by John MacKay and revolves around a young girl who lives in the Outer Hebrides in a small village in the years surrounding World War II and whose life takes a dramatic turn when a terrible tragedy befalls her.

Soundtrack Albums for Netflix’s ‘Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami’ to Be Released

Maisie Music Publishing will release two soundtrack albums for the Netflix docuseries Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami. The albums include the show’s original music composed by Carlos José Alvarez (Exposed, Of Mind and Music, Locked In, Revolution Rent, Cubamerican). Both volumes will be released digitally tomorrow, September 10. Click here to stream/download the Vol. 1 album and click here for the Vol. 2 soundtrack. Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami is directed by Billy Corben who previously helmed the 2006 feature Cocaine Cowboys and tells the story of two childhood friends go who from high school dropouts to the most powerful drug kingpins in Miami.

‘Exposed’ Soundtrack Announced

exposedLakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the dramatic thriller Exposed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Carlos José Alvarez (Deadline). Janet Dacal is performing the vocal solos on the score. The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 26, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Exposed is written and directed by Gee Malik Linton and stars Ana de Armas, Keanu Reeves, Christopher McDonald, Big Daddy Kane and Mira Sorvino. The movie follows a police detective searching for the truth behind his partner’s death, while a Latina woman is witnessing a miracle.

Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

dirty-grandpaOpening in most theaters is the comedy Dirty Grandpa directed by Dan Mazer and starring Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Aubrey Plaza, Zoey Deutch, Julianne Hough, Jason Mantzoukas, Danny Glover, Adam Pally and Dermot Mulroney. The film’s original score is composed by Michael Andrews (Neighbors, Bridesmaids, Freaks and Geeks, Daddy’s Home). No soundtrack album has been released (a release was originally scheduled by Varese Sarabande). Dirty Grandpa follows an uptight groom who, days before his wedding, is tricked into driving his vulgar former Army general to Florida for spring break. the-boyAlso opening wide is the horror thriller The Boy directed by William Brent Bell and starring Lauren Cohan and Rupert Evans. Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Outlander, The Forest) has composed the film’s original music. The film is written and directed by Gee Malik Linton and stars Keanu Reeves, Mira Sorvino, Ana de Armas, Christopher McDonald, Big Daddy Kane, Michael Rispoli and Laura Gomez. The movie follows a police detective searching for the truth behind his partner’s death, while a Latina woman is witnessing a miracle. Reeves and Malik Linton are also producing the project with Robin Gurland (Grassroots, casting director of Star Wars: Episode I & II). Cassian Elwes (Lee Daniels’ The Butler) serves as an executive producer.
