Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi action adventure War for the Planet of the Apes directed by Matt Reeves and starring Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn, Amiah Miller, Karin Konoval and Terry Notary. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Jurassic World, Doctor Strange, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Trek) who previously scored Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Also opening wide is the horror thriller Wish Upon directed by John R. Leonetti and starring Joey King, Ryan Phillippe, Ki Hong Lee, Mitchell Slaggert, Shannon Purser, Sydney Park, Kevin Hanchard and Sherilyn Fenn. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie by Hey Violet, Grace Mitchell, Wayfarers & more (click here for the full details). Kristen Bell has recorded an original song for the documentary Chasing Coral. The track, entitled Tell Me How Long, is written by the film’s co-composer Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, Digging for Fire, Gleason) and Teddy Geiger. The film is directed by Jeff Orlowski and follows a team of divers, photographers and scientists who set out on an ocean adventure to discover why Coral reefs around the world are vanishing at an unprecedented rate.

The film’s original score is composed by Heitor Pereira (The Angry Birds Movie, The Smurfs) and Pharrell Williams wrote the movie’s original songs. Already playing in theaters since this past Wednesday is the action comedy Baby Driver written and directed by Edgar Wright and starring Ansel Elgort, Kevin Spacey, Lily James, Jon Bernthal, Eiza González, Jon Hamm and Jamie Foxx. Steven Price (Gravity, Suicide Squad, Fury, Attack the Block) wrote the film’s original score. Columbia Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie by artists including Simon & Garfunkel, Blur, Kid Koala, Sky Ferreira, The Beach Boys, T.
