Paul Englishby (An Education, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Luther, The Musketeers) is currently scoring the upcoming Acorn TV original series Queens of Mystery. The show is created by Julian Unthank (Doc Martin, New Tricks) and stars Matilda Stone, Olivia Vinall, Julie Graham, Sarah Woodwar, Siobhan Redmond, Andrew Leung, Rebecca Grant, Michael Elcock and Martin Trenaman. The British drama centers on three crime-writing sisters, and their 28-year old niece who use their extensive knowledge of crime to solve whodunit style murders in the picturesque English village of Wildemarsh.

Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC mini-series The Witness for the Prosecution. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Paul Englishby (An Education, Page Eight, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Luther, The Musketeers) who received an Ivor Novello nomination in the Best Television Soundtrack category this year for his work on the project. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 28, 2017. The download link will be added to this article within the next week. The Witness for the Prosecution based on the classic Agatha Christie book of the same title is directed by Julian Jarrod and stars Toby Jones, Andrea Riseborough, Kim Cattrall, Monica Dolan, Billy Howle and David Haig.

The soundtrack will be released on July 1, 2016. The Musketeers is created by Andrew Hodges and stars Luke Pasqualino, Tom Burke, Santiago Cabrera, Howard Charles, Peter Capaldi, Maimie McCoy, Tamla Kari and Hugo Speer. The drama is set on the streets of 17th century Paris and follows the adventures of Athos, Aramis and Porthos.

Paul Englishby to Score Netflix’s ‘The Crown’
Paul Englishby has been hired to score the upcoming Netflix original series The Crown. The show is created by Peter Morgan (The Queen, Rush, Frost/Nixon) and stars Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II, Matt Smith as Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh, Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret and John Lithgow as Winston Churchill. The 10-parter is based on Morgan’s play The Audience and centers on the interplay and political intrigue between Queen Elizabeth II and the British prime ministers spanning several decades. Morgan is also executive producing the Sony Pictures TV and Left Bank Pictures production with Stephen Daldry (The Hours, The Reader), Philip Martin (The Forger), Andy Harries (The Damned United), Suzanne Mackie (Calendar Girls, Pinky Boots), Tanya Seghatchian (My Summer of Love), Robert Fox (Notes on a Scandal, Iris) and Matthew Byam Shaw.

Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the British comedy drama A Royal Night Out.
