The Hero of Friedrichstrasse Station is co-written and directed by Wolfgang Becker and stars Charly Hübner, Christiane Paul, Daniel Brühl, Leon Ullrich, Leonie Benesch, Thorsten Merten, Dirk Martens, Peter Kurth, Jürgen Vogel and Katarina Witt. The movie is based on Maxim Leo’s novel of the same name and tells the story of an East German signalman who helped more than a hundred people flee the GDR via his station in East Berlin.

September 5 is co-written and directed by Tim Fehlbaum and stars Peter Sarsgaard, John Magaro, Ben Chaplin, Leonie Benesch, Georgina Rich, Zinedine Soualem, Corey Johnson, Daniel Adeosun, Marcus Rutherford, Benjamin Walker and Ferdinand Dörfler. The movie is set during the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics and follows an American Sports broadcasting team that quickly adapted from sports reporting to live coverage of the Israeli athletes taken hostage.

The film’s original music is composed by Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe. Waxwork Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score in various formats today. Opening semi-wide in around 250 theaters is the British comedy drama Together directed by Stephen Daldry and starring James McAvoy and Sharon Horgan. Paul Englishby (An Education, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Sunshine on Leith, Luther, The Musketeers) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie centers on two partners who are forced to re-evaluate themselves and their relationship through the reality of lockdown. The dramedy premiered in the UK this past June on BBC Two and is being released theatrically in the U.S. by Bleecker Street.

The movie is set in the distant future and follows a female astronaut, shipwrecked on the long-decimated Earth, as she must decide the fate of the wasteland’s remaining populace.

The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. What Will People Say is written and directed by Iram Haq and stars Maria Mozhdah and Adil Hussain. The movie follows a Norwegian teen clashes as she with the traditional values of her Pakistani émigré parents. The drama premiered at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival and was released in select U.S. theaters last summer by Kino Lorber.

A Fortunate Man is directed by Bille August (The House of the Spirits, Smilla’s Sense of Snow) and stars Esben Smed, Katrine Greis-Rosenthal and Tommy Kenter. The movie is based on nobel prize winning author Henrik Pontoppidan’s 1898 novel and follows a young man, Per, who decides to break free from his strict religious home and leave his patriarch father in Jutland, an island on the top of Denmark, in a quest for happiness.
