A soundtrack album has been released for the Danish drama A Fortunate Man (Lykke-Per). The album features the films original music composed by Lorenz Dangel (Hell, What Will People Say). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. A Fortunate Man is directed by Bille August (The House of the Spirits, Smilla’s Sense of Snow) and stars Esben Smed, Katrine Greis-Rosenthal and Tommy Kenter. The movie is based on nobel prize winning author Henrik Pontoppidan’s 1898 novel and follows a young man, Per, who decides to break free from his strict religious home and leave his patriarch father in Jutland, an island on the top of Denmark, in a quest for happiness. The drama was released in Danish theaters this past summer. No word yet on a domestic release.
