Premiering tonight in the U.S. is the second part of the Worricker trilogy, Turks & Caicos directed by David Hare and starring Bill Nighy as MI5 spy Johnny Worricker, alongside Christopher Walken, Winona Ryder, Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes. The film’s original music is composed by Paul Englishby (An Englishby, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day) who previously scored Hare’s Page Eight. The composer also scored the final part in the trilogy, Salting the Battlefield. ‘Exploding Sun’ Soundtrack Announced
MovieScoreMedia and Kronos Records will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi television movie Exploding Sun. The album features the film’s original score composed by James Gelfand (Cyberbully, Silent Night). The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 12, 2013 and physically on November 26. Exploding Sun is directed by Michael Robison (Eureka, Stephen King’s Dead Zone) and stars David James Elliott, Anthony Lemke,Natalie Brown and Julia Ormond. The movie tells the story of what happens when the first ever commercial space shuttle is struck by a solar storm. The film premiered in the U.S. this September on the ReelzChannel is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.

Premiering tonight is the six-part series Last Tango in Halifax created by Sally Wainwright and starring Derek Jacobi, Anne Reid, Sarah Lancashire and Nicola Walker. The show’s original score is composed by Murray Gold (Doctor Who). The comedy drama follows two widowers in their seventies. When their respective grandsons put their details on Facebook they rediscover a passionate relationship that started over sixty years ago. Euros Lynn and Sam Donovan directed the project.
