Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the thriller Missing directed by Will Merrick & Nick Johnson and starring Storm Reid, Nia Long, Ken Leung, Joaquim de Almeida, Amy Landecker and Daniel Henney. The film’s original music composed by Julian Scherle (Princess of the Row, Heart of the Champions, Buried: The 1982 Alpine Meadows Avalanche). Sony Masterworks/Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening semi-wide in around 500 theaters this week following an awards-qualifying run last November is the drama The Son co-written and directed by Florian Zeller and starring Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern, Zen McGrath Vanessa Kirby and Anthony Hopkins. Hans Zimmer (Inception, The Lion King, Gladiator, Dune, The Dark Knight) has composed the film’s original music. ‘The Son’ Soundtrack Album Details

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama The Son. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Dune, Inception, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Pirates of the Caribbean). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, November 18 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Son is co-written (with Christopher Hampton) and directed by Florian Zeller and stars Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern, Vanessa Kirby, Zen McGrath and Anthony Hopkins. The movie based on Zeller’s stage play of the same title follows a man whose hectic life with his infant and new partner is upended when his ex-wife appears at his door to discuss their son, who is now a teenager.

Hans Zimmer (Dune, The Lion King, Inception, Gladiator, Interstellar, The Dark Knight) has composed the original music for the upcoming drama The Son. The film is directed by Florian Zeller (The Father) and stars Hugh Jackman, Vanessa Kirby, Laura Dern, Zen McGrath and Anthony Hopkins. The movie is based on Zeller’s stage play of the same name and follows a man whose life is thrown into disarray when his ex-wife  turns up with their troubled, distant and angry teenage son. Zeller also co-wrote the screenplay with Christopher Hampton (Dangerous Liaisons, Atonement).

Soundtrack Album for AMC’s ‘The Son’ Announced

Varese Sarabande will release the first soundtrack album for the AMC original series The Son. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Emmy Award nominee Nathan Barr (True Blood, The Americans, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, Hostel, Cabin Fever). Also included are three original vocal performances, including one from Billy F. Gibbons of ZZ Top. The soundtrack will be released on April 26 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Son is created by Philipp Meyer, Lee Shipman & Brian McGreevy and stars Pierce Brosnan, Henry Garrett, Zahn McClarnon, Jess Weixler, Paola Núñez, Elizabeth Frances and Sydney Lucas.

The 2-parter’s original music is composed by Jamie Forsyth (Bones). The drama is the sequel to the 2011 mini-series The Kennedys, which was co-scored by Sean Callery, and centers on the life of the former First Lady of the United States, Jacqueline Kennedy in the aftermath of the assassination of her husband. The show is created by Philipp Meyer, Lee Shipman & Brian McGreevy and stars Pierce Brosnan, Jacob Lofland, David Wilson Barnes, Jess Weixler, Henry Garrett, Elizabeth Frances, Zahn McClarnon, Paola Nunez, James Parks, Carlos Bardem and Sydney Lucas. The drama is based on Meyer’s novel of the same title and revolves a Texas family’s and rise and fall over multiple generations, concurrent with America’s birth as a superpower. The creators are also executive producing the AMC Studios and Sonar production with showrunner Kevin Murphy (Defiance, Caprica).
