Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the action horror movie Resident Evil co-written and directed by Zach Cregger and starring Austin Abrams, Zach Cherry, Kali Reis and Paul Walter Hauser. The film’s original music is composed by Hays Holladay & Ryan Holladay (Weapons, Roommates, Class Action Park). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score today. Also opening wide is the animated comedy Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom directed by Steve Cox & Matthew Walker and starring Justin Fletcher, John Sparkes, Kate Harbour, Dani Dyer and Roman Kemp. Natalie Holt (Loki, Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Princess, Journey’s End, Chad Powers, Rivals, Beecham House, Talamasca: The Secret Order, Knightfall, Herself, Press). Sony Masterworks has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score as well as a new “Halloween Mix” of the Shaun the Sheep theme song (Life’s a Treat) today. ‘Bad Apples’ Soundtrack Album Details

Invada Recordes will release a soundtrack album for the British satirical thriller Bad Apples. The album features the film’s original score composed by Chris Roe (Blue Jean, The Salt Path, After Love, Trigger Point, Payback, The Lady, Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue, Wolf, Lancaster). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 18. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the soundtrack and also listen to the composer’s first track below. Bad Apples is directed by Jonatan Etzler, written by Jess O’Kane and stars Saoirse Ronan, Eddie Waller, Sean Gilder, Nia Brown, Kerry Howard, Jacob Anderson, Robert Emms and Rakie Ayola. The movie is loosely based on Rasmus Andersson’s debut novel De Oönskare and follows a primary school teacher  who accidentally locks her most disruptive student in her home and – desperate to undo it – hesitates when her class begins to flourish in the child’s absence, landing her in an impossible predicament.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the live-action/animated hybrid comedy Coyote vs. Acme directed by Dave Green and starring Will Forte, Lana Condor, John Cena, Tone Bell, Luis Guzmán, P.J. Byrne, Eric Bauza, Martha Kelly, Kenneth Choi, Candi Milo and Jim Cummings. The film’s original music is composed by Steven Price (Gravity, Fury, Our Planet, Last Night in Soho, The Aeronauts, The Running Man, Suicide Squad, Baby Driver, Over the Moon, My Policeman, Heads of State, Heart of Stone). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last Friday and iam8bit will release a vinyl edition. The film is written and directed by David Drake and stars Margo Martindale, Cole Sprouse, Stephen Root, Jefferson White, Yalitza Aparicio and Wes Studi. The movie follows a long-haul trucker facing the potential parole of her daughter’s murderer who has to contend with her past, present and future.

‘The Lady’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album for the ITV/BritBox drama The Lady. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Ivor Novello Award nominee Chris Roe (The Salt Path, Blue Jean, Bad Apples, Trigger Point, Wolf, After Love, Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue,  Lancaster). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 18 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Listen to the composer’s fourth track (A Whole New Person) written for former royal dresser Jane Andrews’ transformation scene (in Episode 1), where she changes her accent, hair, and style to fit into palace life, after the jump. The Lady is written by Debbie O’Malley, directed by Lee Haven Jones and stars Mia McKenna-Bruce, Natalie Dormer, Ed Speleers, Philip Glenister, Ophelia Lovibond, Claire Skinner, Laura Aikman, Daniel Ryan, Mark Stanley and Sean Teale. The 4-parter follows the rise and fall of Andrews, who worked for Sarah, Duchess of York, before her 2001 conviction for the murder of her boyfriend Thomas Cressman.

Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score back in 2023 when the 6-parter premiered in the UK on BBC One. The movie based on the 2018 memoir of the same name by Raynor Winn follows a middle-aged couple who – after losing their home and livelihood – impulsively set out on a 630-mile walk along the southwest English coast, a walk complicated by the recent diagnosis of a terminal neurodegenerative disease.
