Jaeil Jung (Parasite, Squid Game, Mickey 17, Okja, Twinless, Broker, Tempest) is making his American television scoring debut on the new Peacock original series Ponies. The show is created by David Iserson (The Spy Who Dumped Me) & Susanna Fogel (Cat Person, Winner) and stars Emilia Clarke, Haley Lu Richardson, Adrian Lester, Nicholas Podany, Artjom Gilz, Petro Ninovskyi and Vic Michaelis. The espionage thriller follows two “PONIES” (“persons of no interest” in intelligence speak) who become CIA operatives after their husbands are killed under mysterious circumstances in the USSR as they uncover a vast Cold War conspiracy and solve the mystery that made them widows in the first place.

Tempest’ Part 4 Soundtrack Album Released
Hollywood Records has released the fourth soundtrack album for the South Korean Disney+/Hulu original series Tempest. The album features selections of the original music from the fourth and final part of the show composed by Jaeil Jung (Parasite, Squid Game, Okja, Twinless,Mickey 17, Broker) and Dalpalan (Believer, Moving, The Wailing, A Bittersweet Life). The Part 4 soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the first track from each composer after the jump. The label has previously three albums featuring Jung’s & Dalpalan’s score from Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 over the last couple of weeks. Tempest is written by Chung Seokyung, directed by Kim Heewon, co-directed by Heo Myeonghaeng and stars Gianna Jun, Gang Dongwon, Lee Misook, John Cho, Spencer Garrett, Michael Gaston, Christopher Gorham and Park Haejoon.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror sequel The Conjuring: Last Rites directed by Michael Chaves and starring Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ben Hardy and Mia Tomlinson. The film’s original music is composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Twisters, Alien: Romulus, Blade Runner 2049, The Flash, Hidden Figures, Annabelle Creation, Mortal Kombat, Shazam!). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last Friday. Opening semi-wide in around 600 theaters this weekend is the comedy drama Twinless written and directed by James Sweeney and starring Dylan O’Brien, Sweeney himself, Lauren Graham, Chris Perfetti, Aisling Franciosi, and Tasha Smith. Jaeil Jung (Parasite, Squid Game, Mickey 17, Okja, Broker) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced yet. Jaeil Jung Scoring James Sweeney’s ‘Twinless’
Jaeil Jung (Parasite, Squid Game, Okja, Broker) is scoring the upcoming comedy Twinless. The film is written and directed by James Sweeney (Straight Up) and stars Dylan O’Brien, Sweeney himself, Lauren Graham, Aisling Franciosi, Chris Perfetti and Tasha Smith. The movie revolves around two young men who meet in a twin bereavement support group and form an unlikely bromance.
‘Squid Game’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Details
Netflix Music will release a new soundtrack album for the South Korean Netflix original series Squid Game. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Jaeil Jung (Parasite, Okja, Mickey 17, Broker), as well as tracks written by Kim Sungsoo and Park Min Joo. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 27 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Genie Music Corperation has previously released an album featuring the Emmy Award-nominated composer’s score from Season 1 back in 2021. Squid Game is created by Hwang Dong-hyuk and stars Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, Gong Yoo, Yim Si-wan, Park Gyu-young, Kang Ha-neul, Lee Jin-uk, Yang Dong-geun, Park Sung-hoon, Kang Ae-sim, Choi Seung-hyun, Lee David, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri and Won Ji-an.

Opening in New York and Los Angeles today before expanding nationwide on January 13 is the comedy drama A Man Called Otto directed by Marc Forster and starring Tom Hanks, Mariana Treviño, Rachel Keller and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. The film’s original score is composed by Thomas Newman (The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, 1917, Finding Nemo, Skyfall, Wall-E). Mercury Classics Soundtracks & Score has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as an original song performed by Rita Wilson & Sebastián Yatra today. Opening in select theaters today before expanding nationwide on January 20 is the dramatic thriller Alice, Darling directed by Mary Nighy and starring Anna Kendrick, Wunmi Mosaku, Kaniethiio Horn and Charlie Carrick. Owen Pallett (Her, Life, The Box, Spaceship Earth, On the Count of Three) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Jae-il Jung to Score Bong Joon Ho’s ‘Mickey 17’
Warner Bros. Pictures has confirmed today that Jae-il Jung (Squid Game, Broker) is set to reteam with director Bong Joon Ho on the upcoming sci-fi thriller Mickey 17. The film starring Robert Pattinson, Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo is based on the novel Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton. Bong (Snowpiercer, The Host, Mother) also wrote the screenplay and is producing the Plan B Entertainment with Dooho Choi of Kate Street Picture Company.
‘Broker’ Soundtrack Album Released
CJ ENM has released a soundtrack album for the South Korean drama Broker. The album features the film’s original score composed by Jaeil Jung (Parasite, Squid Game, Okja, Take Point). Broker is written and directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda and stars Song Kang Ho, Gang Dong Won, Doona Bae, Lee Ji Eun and Lee Joo Young. The movie follows two “brokers of goodwill” who connect unwanted babies with new parents on the black market who embark on a road trip to meet prospective parents for a new baby, when the birth mother unexpectedly shows up to join them on their journey.
