Jack Bartman has released a soundtrack album for the French drama The House (La Maison). The album features the composer’s original music from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out audio samples. The House is co-written and directed by Anissa Bonnefont and stars Ana Girardot, Rossy De Palma and Aure Atika. The Radar Films production is based on the best-selling novel by Emma Becker follows a young novelist who sets off to write a book about world of sex workers and manages to get recruited at La Maison, a renowned Berlin brothel.

Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘The House’ to Be Released
Maisie Music Publishing will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix stop-motion animated special The House. The album features the original music from all three episodes of the anthology special composed by Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, The Book of Life, Babel, Narcos: Mexico, The Motorcycle Diaries, Finch, 21 Grams). Also included is the original song This House Is… by Santaolalla & Jarvis Cocker who is also part of the project’s voice cast. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 14 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The House is directed by Emma de Swaef & Marc Roels, Niki Lindroth von Bahr and Paloma Baeza and also features the voice talent Mia Goth, Susan Wokoma, Helena Bonham Carter, Matthew Goode, Claudie Blakley, Paul Kaye, Sven Wollter, Yvonne Lombard, Will Sharpe and Mark Heap.

Premiering tonight is the new Fox comedy Pivoting created by Liz Astrof and starring Eliza Coupe, Ginnifer Goodwin, Maggie Q, JT Neal, Tommy Dewey and Marcello Reyes. The show’s original music is composed by Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, A Million Little Things, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Rectify, The Unicorn, Rosewood). Premiering on Tuesday, January 11, is the CW drama Naomi developed by Ava DuVernay & Jill Blankenship based on DC Entertainment’s comic book series of the same name and starring Kaci Walfall, Mary-Charles Jones, Cranston Johnson, Alexander Wraith, Camila Moreno, Mouzam Makkar, Barry Watson, Will Meyers and Aidan Gemme. Amanda Jones (Good Trouble, Adventure Time: Distant Lands, Twenties, Cherish the Day) is composing the show’s original music. Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Book of Life, The Motorcycle Diaries, Finch) has composed the original music for the new Netflix stop-motion animated anthology special The House. The Nexus Studios production is directed by Emma de Swaef & Marc Roels, Niki Lindroth von Bahr and Paloma Baeza and features the voices of Mia Goth, Jarvis Cocker, Susan Wokoma, Helena Bonham Carter, Matthew Goode, Claudie Blakley, Sven Wollter, Paul Kaye, Yvonne Lombard, Will Sharpe and Mark Heap. The animated comedy is set across different eras and follows a poor family, an anxious developer and a fed-up landlady who become tied to the same mysterious house.

Three new movies are opening nationwide this week:
Opening in most theaters is the animated sequel Despicable Me 3 directed by Pierre Coffin, Kyle Balda & Eric Guillon and featuring the voices of Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Trey Parker, Miranda Cosgrove, Steve Coogan, Jenny Slate and Julie Andrews. The film’s original score is composed by Heitor Pereira (The Angry Birds Movie, The Smurfs) and Pharrell Williams wrote the movie’s original songs. Steven Price (Gravity, Suicide Squad, Fury, Attack the Block) wrote the film’s original score. Varese Sarabande has announced a soundtrack album for the comedy The House. The album features the songs from the movie, including previously unreleased material from LL Cool J and Charli2NA of Jurassic 5. Also included is Snoop Dogg’s Gz And Hustlas and Alabama 3’s The Sopranos theme song Woke Up This Morning, as well as selections from the film’s original original score composed by Andrew Feltenstein & John Nau (Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Casa de mi Padre). The soundtrack will be released on June 30, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The House is directed by Andrew Jay Cohen and stars Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler, Jason Mantzoukas, Nick Kroll, Allison Tolman, Michaela Watkins, Ryan Simpkins, Jessie Ennis, Rob Huebel and Cedric Yarbrough.
Andrew Feltenstein & John Nau to Score ‘The House’
Andrew Feltenstein and John Nau have been tapped to score the upcoming comedy The House. The film is directed by Andrew J. Cohen and stars Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler, Ryan Simpkins, Jason Mantzoukas, Nick Kroll, Cedric Yarbrough and Allison Tolman. The movie follows a husband who joins with his neighbors to start an illegal casino in his basement after he and his wife blow their daughter’s college fund. Cohen has also co-written the screenplay for the New Line Cinema production with Brendan O’Brien. Ferrell is also producing the project through his Gary Sanchez production company with Adam McKay (The Big Short, The Other Guys, Talladega Nights).
