Premiering tonight is the fourth season of the HBO original series In Treatment developed by Jennifer Schuur & Joshua Allen and starring Uzo Aduba, Anthony Ramos, Liza Colón-Zayas, Quintessa Swindell, John Benjamin Hickey and Joel Kinnaman. Devonté Hynes (aka Blood Orange) (Queen & Slim, We Are Who We Are, Mainstream, Palo Alto) is composing the original music for the new season. Premiering on Thursday, May 27, is the Netflix anime series Eden created by Justin Leach and starring Ruby Rose Turner, David Tennant, Rosario Dawson, Neil Patrick Harris, JP Karliak, Cassandra Lee Morris and Julie Nathanson. Kevin Penkin (Tower of God, Made in Abyss, The Rising of the Shield Hero) is composing the show’s original music. Isabella Summers (aka Isa Machine of Florence + the Machine) (Little Fires Everywhere) & Brian H. Kim (Hello, My Name Is Doris, BH90210, Search Party) have teamed up to score the upcoming Amazon original series Panic. The show is created by Lauren Oliver based on her best-selling book of the same title and stars Mike Faist, Olivia Welch, Ray Nicholson, Enrique Murciano, Camron Jones and Jessica Sula. The YA drama is set a small town in America, where every year the graduating seniors compete in a dangerous game where they can win a chance to escape their small rural town.

Premiering tonight is the docu-series Serengeti created by Simon Fuller and directed by John Downer who are both also executive producing the project. The show’s original music is composed by Will Gregory (Nowhere Boy, My Summer of Love) and features vocals by Lola Lennox. The series is narrated by Lupita Nyong’o and follow a cast of African wildlife, including lions, zebras, baboons and cheetahs, over the course of a year. Premiering on Wednesday, August 7, is Fox’s revival of BH90210 starring Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling. Brian H. Kim (Hello, My Name Is Doris, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Search Party) is composing the original music for the show, which features the seven former teen idols playing heightened versions of themselves. Brian H. Kim (Hello, My Name Is Doris, Search Party, G.B.F.) is composing the original score for the upcoming NBC comedy Abby’s. The show is created by Josh Malmuth and stars Natalie Morales, Neil Flynn, Nelson Franklin, Jessica Chaffin, Leonard Ouzts and Kimia Behpoornia. The series is set at an unlicensed bar in San Diego where the regulars enthusiastically enforce a unique set of rules that give them a sense of community. Malmuth is also executive producing the Universal Television production with Michael Schur & David Miner (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Parks and Recreation) and Pamela Fryman (How I Met Your Mother).

The comedy follows four self-absorbed twenty-somethings who become entangled in an ominous mystery when a former college acquaintance suddenly disappears. Four new movies are opening wide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the thriller 10 Cloverfield Lane directed by Dan Trachtenberg and starring John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher Jr. The film’s original music is composed by Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead, Outlander, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). Sparks & Shadows Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Check out our previous article for the full album details. Four new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Expected to top the weekend box office is the action comedy Ride Along directed by Tim Story and starring Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, John Leguizamo, Bruce McGill, Tika Sumpter, Bryan Callen and Laurence Fishburne. The film’s original music is composed by Christopher Lennertz (Revolution, Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief) who previously scored Story’s Think Like a Man and will also score its sequel. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music earlier this week and a CD version will be coming out on January 28 by Varese Sarabande. Also opening wide is the action thriller Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit written and directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Chris Pine, Keira Knightley, Kevin Costner, as well as Branagh himself. The director’s regular musical collaborator Patrick Doyle (Thor, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Sense and Sensibility) has composed the film’s original score. Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music digitally earlier this week and a CD version will be coming out in a few weeks.
