Opening in theaters nationwide today is the action movie Ballerina directed by Len Wiseman and starring Ana de Armas, Gabriel Byrne, Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, Keanu Reeves, Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Norman Reedus. The film’s original score is composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Watchmen, Deadpool 2, 300, X, Atomic Blonde) & Joel J. Richard (John Wick, Quantico, Books of Blood). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ music today (click here for the full album details). Always Never Records has released a separate EP featuring three tracks by Le Castle Vania and Columbia Records has released two digital singles featuring the end credits songs (click here to listen to all tracks and to learn more about the Lionsgate release).

Also opening wide this weekend is the survival horror thriller Dangerous Animals directed by Sean Byrne and starring Hassie Harrison, Jai Courtney, Josh Heuston, Liam Greinke, Rob Carltonand Ella Newton. Michael Yezerski (The Tax Collector, Blindspotting, The Devil’s Candy, The Vigil, Corporate Animals, Feel the Beat) has composed the film’s original music. Th3rdstream Records has released a soundtrack album for the documentary We Are Guardians. The album features the film’s original music composed by Roahn Hylton & Jacob Yoffee (The Wonder Years, Bel-Air, Brave the Dark, Vampire Academy, SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night, Sherwood, Free Meek). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other digital music services. Also listen to the composers’ title and end credits tracks below. We Are Guardians is directed by Rob Grobman, Edivan Guajajara & Chelsea Greene and portrays the diverse group of native people who endeavor to save what is left of the Brazilian Amazon. The movie produced by Fisher Steven and executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio dissects the economic drivers that fuel large-scale environmental destruction, while exposing the corruption.

‘Brave the Dark’ Soundtrack Album Details

Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for the drama Brave the Dark. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Jacob Yoffee & Roahn Hylton (The Wonder Years, Bel-Air, SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night, Vampire Academy, Sherwood, Free Meek) who recorded their orchestral score at the Warner Bros. Eastwood Scoring Stage in Burbank (and the rhythm section at Mason Jar Studios in Brooklyn, NY & The Church Studio in Pittsburgh, PA). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 24. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the album and also listen to the composers’ end titles track below. Brave the Dark is co-written and directed by Damian Harris and stars Jared Harris, Nicholas Hamilton (who also contributed the original song Never Alone), Jamie Harris, Will Edward Price, Sasha Bhasin and Kimberly S. Fairbanks. The movie is based on a true events in 1986, small town USA and tells the story of a homeless teen who is struggling to find his purpose and the courage to confront the darkness of his past.

The show’s original music is composed by Alberto Iglesias (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Volver, The Constant Gardener, The Kite Runner, The Skin I Live In, The Room Next Door). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last January when the series premiered overseas on Disney+. Premiering tonight is the PBS documentary Muhammad Ali directed and executive produced by Ken Burns, Sarah Burns & David McMahon about the iconic heavyweight boxing champion who became an inspiration to people everywhere. The film’s original music is composed by songwriter and hip hop record producer Jahlil Beats. A soundtrack album featuring the artist’s music has been released today. Premiering tomorrow, September 20 is the Fox comedy drama The Big Leap created by Liz Heldens and starring Scott Foley, Simone Recasner, Piper Perabo, Jon Rudnitsky, Ser’Darius Blain, Raymond Cham, Jr., Kevin Daniels, Mallory Jansen, Anna Grace Barlow and Teri Polo. Joe Wong (The Midnight Gospel, Master of None, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Russian Doll) is composing the show’s original score. A first song from the series (Just Like Heaven produced by Wong and performed by Eryn Allen Kane) was released this past week. The show’s original music is composed by Will Gregory (Nowhere Boy, My Summer of Love) and features vocals by Lola Lennox. The series is narrated by Lupita Nyong’o and follow a cast of African wildlife, including lions, zebras, baboons and cheetahs, over the course of a year. Premiering on Wednesday, August 7, is Fox’s revival of BH90210 starring Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling. Brian H. Kim (Hello, My Name Is Doris, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Search Party) is composing the original music for the show, which features the seven former teen idols playing heightened versions of themselves.
